I went to a wedding in New Hampshire, which I count as vacation, and I have another one in November, in Hawaii, which I'll also count as vacation. But I don't have any really big vacation plans--not like last year, when I spent a little over two weeks in Europe. |

Yes, but there's nothing to "book". |

I went to Houston in May, which turned out to be the vacation from hell. I was also planning to go to Florida this summer, but plans fell through. We might go Labor Day weekend, but nothing is set in stone. |

We went to Mexico in February. I imagine we'll go somewhere else before the year's out. |

Here we call it 'vacation'. Haven't been on a vacation for some time, no plans to. |

Holiday seems to mean so much more in this survey than vacation. I went on vacation up north to a cottage but it's not the kind of thing you usually book or get a last minute deal on. |

We have already been.
We spend a long weekend (Fri-Mon) in Cologne last February and three weeks in the Czech Republic last June.
Depending on a bonus we might go to Barcelona later this year. |

No.. but I do plan to take a trip to the in-laws in NC in a few weeks... wouldn't consider that a holiday though. |

Next week my wife and I are going to Lake George, New York for 3 days.
Note that Americans tend to call this "vacation" where as a "holiday" is a term to describe special days like Christmas or Independence Day (which we tend to get off from work). The phrase "go on holiday" is a British thing. Though, I assume Canadians might say it that way too. |

Well I'm planning (read: hoping) to take a summer Archeology course in Greece next year, which, since it's in Greece, I would count as a vacation. We'll see how it goes. |

Every gig out of the area is a holiday. I work with a musician, remember. |
