Has a transient taste or smell ever suddenly occurred to you?

For example, you could be sitting at your desk at work, and all of the sudden, the smell of dogwoods in bloom occurs to you, or all of the sudden, you have the random taste of beer in your mouth, and you haven't had a beer in a while?

Enheduanna	posted 9-Jul-2005 12:43pm Yes; the other day it was the chili I had made the night before, which the house did not at that moment smell like. It was very odd. This has happened to me at other times, too. I hope it doesn't mean I have a brain tumor.

caviartaste	posted 9-Jul-2005 3:06pm This has happened to me alot. There is a strange chemical smell that occurs to me from time to time and I don't know what it is... In the past, I can remember having the scent of flowers come to me, when no flowers were around anywhere. and every now and then I'll get a metallic taste in my mouth.....or sometimes, the taste of beer - even though I don't even like beer.
