| bill | posted 6-Jul-2005 8:18pm I'm having trouble thinking of something good. Here's the best thing I can come up with. I had some old audio tapes in with out stereo. My wife threw them away. I think it was when we were packing stuff up for moving. It really bothered me that she threw my stuff away without asking me. The tapes were actually crap, but they were mine. |
| Irene007 | posted 6-Jul-2005 11:16pm Nothing's that important that I'd remember it still. |
| bcollins | posted 6-Jul-2005 11:41pm No, but I don't own anything all that important anyway. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 7-Jul-2005 12:03am Yes, but this is too painful for me to discuss. |
| Zang | posted 7-Jul-2005 12:50am I'm having trouble coming up with an item... |
| Enheduanna | posted 7-Jul-2005 2:22am I'm not sure. I can't think of anything, though. |
| cloudhugger | posted 7-Jul-2005 2:40am It has happened a few times. Don't remember what they were, I put it out of my mind. |
| LittleRed | posted 7-Jul-2005 7:53am I was very close to my mother, and after she died (I was only 35 years old then) I inherited some things and then there are things that she had given me in the past. Whenever something that she gave me or that was inherited gets broken it hurts me very much because aside from my memories that is all I have left of her. |
| judgescratch | posted 7-Jul-2005 8:33am Not that I remember. |
| justjulie | (reply to Matty) posted 7-Jul-2005 8:37am like, sharpie marker black ink? or black ink from a ball-point pen? or..? did it come off? noah lastnight, just deliberately smashed a piece of a fresh warm real blueberry waffle into the carpet. grrr! f-in' blessed kids. |
| caviartaste | posted 7-Jul-2005 9:24am If they have, I have gotten over it. Material possessions have very little worth in the context of things. People mean more to me, when it's all said and done. Really what thing can I not live without? |
| thevelvetcure | posted 7-Jul-2005 2:43pm Sure, my heart, but for tangible...I'm sure it's been done but can't recall what & who. |
| cerealkiller | posted 7-Jul-2005 5:37pm My wife destroyed my wedding band with a hammer a few years ago. |
| Enigma | posted 7-Jul-2005 6:52pm Oh yes! My husband broke a piece of pottery my mother made (accident) and I was so upset I cried. |
| romkey | (reply to Matty) posted 7-Jul-2005 8:48pm Whoops!
What color were the couches? |
| timothy | posted 8-Jul-2005 12:38am YES YES YES. ALL THE TIME!!!! When I was growing up I had a cousin named Marty. (I called him Marty the F**Khead). He would break EVERYTHING I had. (everything from toys, to skateboards, to records, ...my tv....) One day I spent the night at his house. We slept in the same bed. He first started snoring, then farting. then when he turned over he kneed me in the balls! He never knew what happened but the next morning I shoved his face in his oatmeal. |
| Matty | (reply to justjulie) posted 8-Jul-2005 8:40am ball point pen ink, you know, the kind of ink you can't wash off leather. We have to have them redone. |
| Matty | (reply to romkey) posted 8-Jul-2005 8:46am a wine red, black ink creates a nice contrast |
| justjulie | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jul-2005 8:52am i don't have much experience w/ the care of leather, so i really didn't know. how frustrating though i can imagine. |
| romkey | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jul-2005 10:53am That was exactly what I was imagining |
| Amanda | posted 8-Jul-2005 11:01am Yes. Caleb has, but not on purpose. (I don't think.) I'm sure this also happened when I was a kid, a favorite toy or something. |
| Matty | (reply to romkey) posted 8-Jul-2005 12:02pm we have to redye everything; they can't be cleaned or "touched up" |
| mve17 | posted 23-Jul-2005 9:03am nope but ive broken plenty of other peoples stuff.. by accident naturally |

| patarnone | posted 8-Sep-2005 4:40pm Yes, my Vietnam vet husband... he couldn't master playing my classical guitar, so I came home one day, and found it in a closet corner, completely in splinters.
This was back in the 60's and he had post traumatic stress big time. |
