Explain why you think psychics don't win lotteries.

A true psychic believes their gifts are from God. They believe using their gifts to profit is morally wrong.

Because psychics are either charlatans or delusional.

A psychic is a blanket term used to describe someone claiming to have 'psychic powers'. These powers are alleged to include telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance and pre-cognition. Of these, only pre-cognition could give you the winning lottery numbers, but pre-cognitive visions (like those of Nostradamus) are supposed to be involuntary and random.

Oh come off it! Firstly you state that no 'true' psychics can be atheists and then you imply that anyone who believes in God automatically believes that making a profit is morally wrong. There are plenty of evangelists with marble bathrooms and gold taps that would say otherwise. I don't see how 'psychics' should be any different.

I've read that "the gift" isn't always completely operational or reliable. I'm not sure whether or not psychics actually have this gift, btw.

I think their usual evasive answer to this is that they don't get to choose what they are psychic about... they just get visions. So, they can't just choose to get the lottery numbers.

for it would most likely be selfish, and psychics should share their gifts not hoard them for their own personal gain. in fact am pretty certain that if a psychic did win in a sketchy sort of manner, they would lose their "power" and would once again be "normal".

If they won people would say, "Wow! You picked the winning numbers, you must be psychic!"

Five reasons:
1) It's unethical to use their ability fer personal gain, and they lose their attainment connection if they try.
2) If they do try, they can lose their abilty instantly.
3) They actually do win and just keep quiet about it.
4) Some are simply frauds to begin with.

Psychics gain their ability by being unworldly and objectively detached. When they become concerned and have some passionate personal interest in the affairs of the world, things can go either way. You can't have your cake and eat it too. To be a good psychic you have to surrender yourself for the needs of others. Good psychics usually don't give others such winning info either because it's not in the spiritual development interess of their clients to win more than others either.

The last time I had a girlfriend talking me into getting lottery tickets, I simply decided beforehand to get tickets that merely paid for themselves (and did of course). When i play games like monopoly, I secretly pride myself in winning by deciding who else will get to win, a kid if one is playing.

One of the biggest psychics in our area is the wife of a billionaire real-estate investor. She doesn't even mention the fact in any of her ad blurbs. I had to do some background research on her to find out that one. It was kinda my mission for awhile to keep tabs on my peers. I used to run around doing free tarot readings for tarot readers back then to troubleshoot their client-advice interactions and such.

Oh, I could add one more thing. Psychics aren't immune to karma, and if you are looking for gain above your needs, it's essentially theft to abuse your gift. You have your types like your nichiren buddhists chanting for specific material prosperity, and they do indeed it get it, but they are oblivious that the tragic losses elsewhere they soon encounter are directly related. The tao te ching is a system of balance in change, like a snaking river. You can put a bend in for someone (even for tthe whole world), but it then bends back the other way too.

Because they know that when they win the lottery, they would be filthy rich, and surrounded by all sorts of fake friends and money sharks, made up charities etc. Then they would hire an account who would be crooked and try to steel their money, but since they are psychic, they already know this and decide to do their own finances, but aren't very good at it and they wind up loosing the money anyway, but since they are psychic, they already know this, so instead they just sit on the money (literally) and never do anything. Eventually they starve to death, but since they are psychic, they already know this and just decide not to play the lottery.

They don't have real psychic powers.

If I'm on the right plane (detached from worldly and attached to spiritual) I can choose. God happens in the moment with past and future departing from there, so in fact the mind that knows god is the same as the god directing mind if you're connected, so basically there's not really any difference between pre-cognition and co-creative will.

God knows what will happen because God chooses what will happen. If you connect to the cosmic mind, you can connect in many ways, but the closer you get, the more it all becomes the same, everything becomes the same, an archetypal dream becoming matter.

If it is in the stars for someone to be lucky or rich, than they will be. It will not be up to "luck". If it was meant for someone to win, than they will win. It will not be because of "luck".

Being psychic doesn't mean you can see anything you want.

Do you know for certain that they don't? Maybe psychics have won, but don't publicize that they used their powers to win. There are different types of phychics too. Not all of them have precognition (being able to see into the future). There are all types of psychic abilities.

A true psychic would never use their abilities for personal monetary gain.

I disagree. They might avoid making money, but if they do decide to make money, not using their psychic ability would be like deciding not to use their ears or eyes when earning an income.

I know nothing about psychics except how to spell it.

I believe a lot has to do with "intent" and how broadly they exploit their gift. Everyone deserves to make ends meet, but when you deal with people's emotions, you shouldn't take advantage. I personally do not believe doing that is considered good karma.

Saving the world costs money these days. - well maybe not, but it sure seems that way on the surface if you want to play the game. Operating from willed surrender, it's taking for granted with detachment that get's you there. Greed ain't the route there. On the other hand, there have been famous greedy rifts in the force.
