I modifed this survey, removing the explanation (which was a rant against qualifiers) and some of the answers (which were age/sex answers that are irrelevant given the AdvStats page). |

Big enough thank you, now breast reduction well that's a different story

Same as I do right now... nothing, and I'd discourage anyone I knew from getting them. |

I have no interest in breast implants. I like mine just they way they are. |

I wouldn't get implants. If anything, I'd get a reduction, but I don't really see that happening, either. |

I'm a C-cup now, which is plenty big for someone who is less than 5 feet in height. |

I'm not sure I'd get them. They look so fake & they don't move. Guys like the jigglies.
I might have to get one implant anyway, after I have this tumor removed. |

If breast implants were free, I'd make furniture out of them. How does a Z cup beanbag sound? |

I'm a natural double-D. If anything, I'd want them smaller, not bigger. How did this piece of crap get passed anyway? |

What explanation? |
bill | | (reply to Irene007) posted 13-Jul-2005 6:54am |
sorry, it's gone... it was... well... a big angry rant directed at qualifiers saying something like "I should be able to create any survey I want" or some such thing. It was a bit nutty. Maybe I should have kept it for our amusement. Doing this sort of major fix-up often seems questionable to me. But, the opportunity arose (I was one of the first to see it when it got out of qual). |

No answer there for me. Nothing I'm a man and don't have breasts. |
| caviartaste | | posted 13-Jul-2005 4:33pm |
Wow....according to these options...the SC assumes everyone would go out and get boobs, and then some! ...hmm....what's in it for me besides a painful surgery?
It's SO very sad to me that young women are shaped by our culture into thinking that a larger pair of breasts could possibly make them more attractive, happier, healthier, sexier, more employable, have more confidence, have better quality and more solid relationships with their significant others, and/or make other women jealous, or envious at the same time. If breasts implants alone could do all these things, then surely they should charge a million bucks, not a couple a thousand! It's ridiculous to think that anything external you could do to your body could fulfill so many internal needs. The problem is on the inside - not the outside. We need to start by making sure that girls know that the female form is BEAUTIFUL, to begin with, and they don't need to change anything to become that. And - people who admire the exaggeration - aren't really seeing YOU. |

I'm assuming you say that with regards to people who don't have problems. You aren't referring to women who have lost their breasts to cancer or an inborn deformity are you? That's where I'm coming from on this. |

I would completely agree with your decision to do that. I believe that would have more to do with your identity of yourself, and how you have always seen yourself, and would NOT be the same as a change to improve what you don't like about yourself, as you had been born.
I think changing something you don't like about what you were born with, was more of what the survey creator was going after. I think that I, too, would do what you are referring to! Nothing wrong with how you see yourself in your minds eye and wanting to keep that - that's more than healthy, and I would encourage it.

I'm happy with their size, but not their location.... I had a baby almost three years ago, and they my poor boobs haven't been the same since. I want a lift and put them back where they belong!! |
| cabinfever |
OMG, you are so tiny!! If you don't mind, how tall are you? |
| darkshadowsseeker |
I'm 4 ft, 11 1/2 inches. I never quite made it to 5 feet. |
| cabinfever |
I'm 5'9". For all except two years of my school life I was the tallest girl (and often the tallest person) in my class. I was taller than my fourth grade teacher. More than once I wished I was shorter because men are such babies when it comes to tall women. But then I "grew up" (no pun intended) and figured out that I didn't want a man who was so easily intimidated. I preferred men over 6-foot, but ended up marrying a man who is barely 5'11". Probably a good thing, since my daughter is almost three, and bigger than most five-year-olds. Poor thing, she's going to be a big girl like her mama. How tall is your son? |
| darkshadowsseeker |
I was second shortest in my high school (the shortest girl was a dwarf). They paired us up with the boys by size. My son is right around 5' 11". I stopped growing when I was 13 years old. It turned out later that I had an undiagnosed underactive thyroid problem, but by the time they discovered that, it was too late to do anything about my height. My sister is 5' 5 1/2" in height. In fact, most of the women in my family are over 5 feet, generally in the 5' 2" to 5' 3" range. |
| cabinfever |
Did the kids in school give you a hard time? Sorry about the medical prob. How old were you by the time they diagnosed that? Sounds like most of your family -at least on the female side- are tiny. That's a compliment coming from me, btw. |
| darkshadowsseeker |
Yeah, I got all the jibes, short stuff, sawed off, etc. Thanks for the compliment. As to the thyroid problem, it was diagnosed in early adulthood, I can't remember the exact age I was, but I was in my early 20's. |
| cabinfever |
Hmmm, usually there are other indicators with a problem like that... you didn't have any other symptoms other than slow/no growth? I often got asked how the weather was up there. My height did serve me well in my freshman year, I was the same size as most senior girls, so I never got "initiated". No one knew how old I really was.
What happens when a troll shows up like that jerk with the kitten cannon? I know we don't feed them, but how offensive does he have to get before Bill nukes him? Or does a certain number of members have to complain before any action is taken? I am curious. |
| darkshadowsseeker |
I did have other symptoms like my hair thinning out for no apparent reason, dry skin (and this in a teenager), the growth stoppage, of course. There were several signs that indicated that something wasn't quite right, but I was never giving any tests to track it down. Thinning hair....it must be the shampoo I'm using (everyone in the household used the same brand, I was the only one getting thinning hair), dry skin....I must be using the wrong soap (again, I was a teenager and dry skin isn't usually a real issue, generally it's more having oily skin), etc. Unfortunately, we had a rather inept doctor when I was growing up. Not quite a quack, but as close to one as you can get without being one. The bozo even gave us penicillin shots when we had the flu or a common cold, which is totally useless. My sister and I received so much unnecessary penicillin in injections and in tablet form as children and teenagers that both of us have children who have penicillin allergies. Both of our children's pediatricians (two different doctors) where of the opinion that all the unnecessary penicillin that we received during our childhoods was, in part, responsible for my niece and my son having penicillin allergies. The predisposition to this type of allergy generally runs in families, but there is absolutely no history of it my or my sister's family or the families of her husband or my son's father.
As to trolls, it really depends on the circumstances. If they are going completely out of bounds or start making really offensive surveys, etc., bill will usually take care of them. It may be simply contacting them and trying to figure out what's going on (which he did to the SCer who created multiple accounts under the names nox, nox1, Jash, Spawn) or ban them outright. In the case of the user who created all the accounts I mentioned in the parentheses, he closed all those accounts. We also have had problems with a user by the name of Richard47. He's been banned multiple times, under multiple names. At some point he slips up and makes it obvious who he really is and is booted. It's just a matter of time before he comes back, if he hasn't already. |
