| robin | posted 8-May-1999 11:07pm Viagra holds the record among FDA approved drugs of having the largest number of prescriptions written for it in its first three months on the market. I think that's brilliant, not stupid. |
| hunter | posted 8-May-1999 11:12pm You haven't even begun to touch the outer edges of idiotic products, and some of your options are narrowminded to the point of offensiveness. Personally, ice cream doggie treats have always done it for me. |
| bill | posted 9-May-1999 8:02am Which chapter will this be in your book? |
| Frostbrand | posted 9-May-1999 5:35pm hunter: I didn't want the list of options to be too long. |

| Pooh_Bear | posted 10-May-1999 9:27am The WB has Buffy and Felicity, so it's not all bad. |
| grmbrand | posted 10-May-1999 9:37am Actually, "quasi-humorous" doesn't do justice to the truly subtle, almost non-existent amount of humor to found in this survey. Cheers, Brian... |
| jettles | posted 10-May-1999 10:04am that would be "most stupid" and if you have to explain that it is quasi-humorous then it probably isn't!!! good one bill!!!!! "double yawn" |
| Frostbrand | posted 10-May-1999 12:14pm Pooh_Bear: Actually that's WHY WB is bad. AND FOR THE LAST FUDGING TIME, I CREATED A SURVEY FOR YOU PEOPLE TO GET OUT THAT EXCESS AGGRESSION! QUIT CLOGGING MY OTHER SURVEYS! |

| Jane | posted 10-May-1999 7:07pm What's wrong with Ritalin? My friend uses Ritalin, and considers it quite useful. |
| anonymous | posted 11-May-1999 7:24am Brian's e-mail account |
| Frostbrand | posted 11-May-1999 7:28pm Jane: I was on Ritalin once. Trust me. It's bad. I mean, for so many years, we've been telling kids "Drugs are pollution." By by medicating them with ritalin, prozac and other stuff, we're saying "Drugs are the only solution." It's just a wrong thing we're doing to these kids. |
| anonymous | posted 11-May-1999 8:22pm Brian, What are you on now? |
| anonymous | posted 11-May-1999 9:27pm Probably crack. Or maybe heroin? |
| Jane | posted 11-May-1999 9:38pm Brian- I disagree with that completely. My friend has been diagnosed with ADD (attention deficit disorder) and takes Ritalin as a part of her medication. As a result of this, she is more focused and doing better in school. She does experience side effects, such as drowsiness. From my witnessing someone close to me using this drug, I don't consider it useless. In 8th grade, I joined this club where we visited elementary schools and performed this little skit about the differences between "good" drugs and "bad" drugs. There are some drugs that will help you, such as pain medication, antibiotics, and, um, Ritalin. "Bad" drugs hurt you, and you shouldn't take bad drugs. (Sorry, I'm going in to talking-to-3rd-graders-mode) But anyway, I trust her when she says that successfully treating her ADD has helped her. |

| bill | posted 12-May-1999 5:06pm a waste of perfectly good crack if you ask me... |
| eris | posted 12-May-1999 7:29pm Photo finish between Scientology and the Cobalt Bomb. |
| Frostbrand | posted 13-May-1999 12:16am Crack was stupid too. I mean, who would do a drug named after a part of their ass? "Want some crack?" "No my own is fine thank you." |
| anonymous | posted 16-May-1999 10:19pm Brian: you're utterly whacked saying ritalin is bad because of the war on drugs... ADD, ADHD, etc are OVER-DIAGNOSED. That doesn't make the less real. My wife is on ritalin and it is extremely useful for her. |
| karmakat | posted 19-May-1999 10:25pm What a great survey! But it sure was hard to decide. You left out the pocket fisherman though. |
| karmakat | posted 19-May-1999 10:27pm Once again, you guys need to chill out. If you don't like the survey, don't do it. (just my humble opinion) |

| karmakat | posted 20-May-1999 6:47am mandy: I still say, it's just the internet. It's not brain surgery. I don't imagine anyone here would go up to someone in person and say the things said in here. That's the way I think about it. Would I say this to someone's face? If not, then I don't say it on the internet. If I don't like what someone says in person, I just avoid them. If I don't like it on the net, I just "filter" them. If I find it really bothersome, then I just turn off the internet and enjoy the real world. It just seems to me that all of this is supposed to be fun, but when more time is spent attacking someone instead of surveying, then the fun quotient runs lows. |
| hunter | posted 20-May-1999 1:51pm I honestly don't think I have ever said anything to anyone here that I would not say in person. |
| Lizabeth | posted 20-May-1999 6:34pm karmakat: Then if you don't like what we're saying, why aren't you just "filtering" us? I was getting over the whole "Brian" thing (as I'm sure others were), until you brought it up again. |
| jonathan | posted 24-May-1999 1:16pm karmakat - if you believe the folks here on SC are so dishonest as to make up stuff to say here that we wouldn't say in person, why are you even looking at this site? |
