| YukonGold | posted 6-Jun-2005 9:26pm I don't like them. |
| thevelvetcure | posted 6-Jun-2005 9:35pm No, seems to be a waste of money to me. |
| Enigma | posted 6-Jun-2005 9:54pm Tried it, didn't like it. |
| bill | posted 6-Jun-2005 11:13pm low-tech is best for toothbrushes, in my opinion. |
| CGTREE | posted 6-Jun-2005 11:26pm Yes I do, Just recently I got one...it was really cheap and I needed a tooth brush so I figured I'd try it. It works pretty good. Now if only I could find some beef flavoured tooth past or strawberry flavoured tooth past to go with it. |
| anoddoblivion | posted 7-Jun-2005 12:10am Can't say I do. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 7-Jun-2005 6:05am No, but I have in the past. |
| kirst | posted 7-Jun-2005 6:45am Sonicare |
| gambler | posted 7-Jun-2005 8:35am sometimes...i use a battery one (non-rechargeable) I just started using it.....pretty good |
| Irene007 | posted 7-Jun-2005 9:16am Nope |
| Zang | posted 7-Jun-2005 10:46am No, I tried one recently. I didn't like it. |
| CarolL | posted 7-Jun-2005 11:54am No but both my kids do. I have to laugh when they say "Mom, the batteries in my toothbrush are dead -- what do I do?"
Kids these days...sigh...they are just SO spoiled! |
| CarolL | (reply to CGTREE) posted 7-Jun-2005 11:55am ...beef falvoured toothpaste I think there's a survey in there somewhere! |
| judgescratch | posted 7-Jun-2005 12:36pm Yes, it was weird at first but it was recomended by my doctor to use so I got used to it. |
| sexy1 | posted 7-Jun-2005 1:07pm no, but i did have one once, and it was really good, and made my teeth look much more shiner |
| Matty | posted 7-Jun-2005 1:51pm what for? |
| leahdoll | posted 7-Jun-2005 2:22pm Yes, I just bought one a few months ago. An Oral B/Braun sonic one. I like it. |
| leahdoll | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 7-Jun-2005 2:26pm I always thought the same thing before I bought mine, but the sonic ones really do clean your teeth better. The brush stroke count is something like 100/min, faster than you could ever brush manually, and that's why they clean your teeth so much better and make them so much whiter. |
| nonamejj18 | posted 7-Jun-2005 2:35pm that sonic blaster one!! lol its like a vibrator for my teeth |
| CGTREE | (reply to CarolL) posted 7-Jun-2005 4:19pm Humm....a survey eh..... |
| whizkid | (reply to gambler) posted 7-Jun-2005 4:49pm Dude, my toy....the Sonicare Elite 7500.... is more expensive than other options, but wins groovy comments from dentists, testers, and consumers. Dr. Kimberly Loos, a California dentist, answers a reader's question about the Sonicare on ParentsPlace.com. Loos says that she noticed improvement in her patients' periodontal disease after they started using the Sonicare, and says the sonic properties of this toothbrush are similar to the ultrasonic cleaning equipment used in dentists' offices. Pretty kewl, huh ? |
| Biggles | posted 7-Jun-2005 5:24pm An electric toothbrush? I never have - although they're supposed to be better than normal ones. I should look into them. |
| justjulie | (reply to nonamejj18) posted 7-Jun-2005 5:43pm yahoooooo!!!
i want one.... |
| CarolL | (reply to CGTREE) posted 7-Jun-2005 6:24pm yup |
| gambler | (reply to whizkid) posted 7-Jun-2005 6:53pm Yea but my Oral B is only like $15..........the sonicare is more money that I wanna spend |
| julysky | posted 7-Jun-2005 11:12pm yes, I love it. I still do the brushing motion, old habits so hard to break. |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:04pm Matty, I cannot believe your response?....... What For?..... It does work very effectively and studies have shown this, the oscillating heads do seem more effective |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:20pm ok, but I floss, too. My dentist has told me flossing is far more effective than any of that stuff. So, to me, an electronic toothbrush seems like a waste. |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:24pm Ah ok, It just seemed out of character for you......... Now I see what you mean |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:25pm BTW are you going to go on the active duty list? |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:27pm I 'm set to go in October, but I have until Septembet top decide. |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:29pm Good luck with it........... in response to your reply in forum regarding the user Jasonsbaby this was his last response to me, when I nicely corrected another abusive post from him:
yall need 2 go fudge urself ice cream man!!!............................. |
| Matty | (reply to gambler) posted 8-Jun-2005 3:06pm hmmmm, could be just a moron and not worth the effort |
| autumnlight | posted 8-Jun-2005 3:09pm No, they are no more effective than regular toothbrushes. |
| gambler | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 3:34pm I guess |
| cloudhugger | posted 8-Jun-2005 4:15pm Yes, often I use Sonicare. Never thought teeth could feel so clean. Other times I like a good manual brush. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 4:23pm The soniccare pulses with ultrasonic power even between the teeth. I feel like a commercial here. |
| freebird | posted 8-Jun-2005 6:16pm no |
| Enheduanna | posted 8-Jun-2005 7:12pm No; I had one once, but some water got in the battery case and it died. |
| Matty | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 8-Jun-2005 7:29pm according to whom; though I am not questioning your veracity, I would have to hear that from my dentist. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Matty) posted 8-Jun-2005 10:24pm According to me, altho I am not a dentist with a dentist degree, I am a conscience consumer. Your dentist may not have tried the sonicare. And not to seem flippant, ask a dentist who has tried one if you need to hear it from someone with a degree. |
| Matty | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 9-Jun-2005 6:14am maybe not, tell you waht, I'll ask my dentist |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Matty) posted 9-Jun-2005 10:17am There is a personal satisfaction with doing our own research and not relying on one persons opinion. We all share great knowledge but sometimes the more people we ask the more confused we can be. Trying the sonicare yourself may be the answer you are looking for. If I sell you on this tell me and I will invest in their stock! |
| Matty | (reply to cloudhugger) posted 9-Jun-2005 11:50am satisfaction of personal research can be satisfying, yes. However, possessing requisite knowledge is often more important. I simply can not research every topic relevant to me and appropriately enlist the help of experts like my dentist. |
| cloudhugger | (reply to Matty) posted 9-Jun-2005 7:41pm yes, you are right. |
| leahdoll | (reply to Matty) posted 10-Jun-2005 2:20pm My dentist is the one who recommended I start using a sonic toothbursh...and not for sales purporses, either, he admitted that they sold them at the office, but to go out and look for at Costco (wholesale club) because it would be cheaper. |
| Matty | (reply to leahdoll) posted 10-Jun-2005 4:58pm Ok, I'll ask my dentist |
| Iseult | posted 12-Jun-2005 2:11am Those things are crap. They don't make much difference with your teeth. |
| mel_danielle | posted 28-Jun-2005 8:49pm i love my princess buzz brush lol |
