| Frostbrand | posted 6-May-1999 2:37pm The first Crow movie was okay, but The Crow: City of Angels sucked ass. The only I'll see a third one is if they make the Crow for this movie a woman (which has been done only twice in the comic book series). |
| hunter | posted 6-May-1999 2:44pm I was actually impressed that they managed to take a cool, repeatable concept; several extremely talented actors; reasonably rockin' music; and an intricate, interesting scenic design and make a terrible movie out of it. |
| jonathan | posted 6-May-1999 3:19pm Brian - I'm curious, how would having the main character be female make this sequel intrinsically different? I'm not seeing how a change of sex would change the role of a character whose basic motivations are undead angst and vengeance within a setting of modern Gothic violence, sound and design. |
| Matteh | posted 6-May-1999 4:06pm I'm quite looking forward to Final Fantasy: The Movie. By the way, shouldn't that be "None of the Above"? |
| fooyun | posted 6-May-1999 4:19pm Final Fantasy! |
| pandora | posted 6-May-1999 5:10pm 'neither of the above'?? |
| hunter | posted 6-May-1999 5:26pm What's Final Fantasy? |
| bill | posted 6-May-1999 7:09pm video game -> movie |
| jjg | posted 6-May-1999 7:11pm Probably X-Men, Mad Max and Final Fantasy on tape. |
| mandy | posted 6-May-1999 8:29pm They all sound horrid!!! |
| Frostbrand | posted 6-May-1999 9:54pm johnathan: It would be different. And besides, there are few female action heroes, and of the ones that are out there, they usually get dumped into the "straight-to-video" brackett. |
| drdt | posted 7-May-1999 1:31pm 'Neither'? |
| fooyun | posted 7-May-1999 7:50pm Hunter: Final Fantasy is a role-playing video game for the Super Nintendo and Playstation. The game usually involves a bunch of rag-tag heroes who get together to save the world. If you want to know more, go to RPGamer. Bill: No way! If a movie is coming out from Squaresoft, it should have everything that Final Fantasy has: involving storyline, moving plot, great characters, and I already know the graphics are terrific! :) |
| jonathan | posted 10-May-1999 4:54am Brian: Different how? |
| Frostbrand | posted 10-May-1999 12:37pm jonathan: If you really need to ask that question, there's no way in hell I could explain it to you. fooyun: Exactly! Latest news is the film will be done ENTIRELY in CGI. |
| anonymous | posted 11-May-1999 9:19pm Brian, This survey was dull. |
| jonathan | posted 12-May-1999 12:46am Brian: You basically said "I'll only see the third Crow movie if X", where X is a female main character. What makes a female main character different from a male main character for you? Is is sexual attraction, how a female might be portrayed differently instead of a male, what? |
| anonymous | posted 12-May-1999 12:52am He is just a horny pig that has admitted to objectifying females for his own pleasure. |
| Frostbrand | posted 12-May-1999 1:01am jonathan: I already explained it! I said, "And besides, there are few female action heroes, and of the ones that are out there, they usually get dumped into the "straight-to-video" brackett. When was the last time you saw a big-screen film with a female action-hero? Probably never! It's usually Ford, Willis, Chan, etc. And what's wrong with just plain "different?" Doing something different every once in a while is a good thing. |
| magbast | posted 12-May-1999 11:10pm i would probably watch a mad max flick.... |
| fooyun | posted 14-May-1999 2:12pm Brian: Have you seen the CG for the movie yet? It looks better than anything Pixar has ever put out. |
| Eeah | posted 13-Jun-1999 12:39pm If they'd make the movie a bit more like the comix --- I'd see the crow. |
| eloradanan | posted 29-May-2006 1:23am None of the above. |
| Zang | posted 11-Jun-2006 3:02am As this survey was done seven years ago and I wasn't around to answer it then...I'll answer now. I haven't seen any of them yet. Where do you think this is going? They all sound like crap. |
