| Zang | posted 3-Jun-2005 12:00am I'm pretty affectionate with my close male friends that I've known for a very long time (nearly 30 years). Sometimes we kiss each other on the mouth (no tongues)! That's mostly a New Years thing. Hugs. That's about it. Nothing weird! Sure, we say "I love you" to each other now and then. We'll sleep in the same bed...we're just very confident about our heterosexuality. We're not hung up on what other people might think. |
| Enheduanna | posted 3-Jun-2005 1:10am I'm female, and since I've dated women in the past, I guess all but "hug occasionally" have applied to me. These days it's mostly just "hug frequently" though. |
| verouge | posted 3-Jun-2005 1:37am It depends on how much we are closed to each other. |
| LindaH | posted 3-Jun-2005 3:14am Hug occasionally. Usually it's a special occasion, like a wedding or going away party or something. |
| Matty | posted 3-Jun-2005 6:29am male-hugs are about as far as I go |
| justjulie | posted 3-Jun-2005 6:53am EyesOfCharisma and I talk a bunch of "crap" to each other, and we're a bit touchy feely, for we both know that it bothers her boyfriend, (my brother), and my husband...it's so fun to watch them squirm |
| bill | posted 3-Jun-2005 7:48am hug sometimes... also, the occasional blow job. Nothing weird! |
| Updown | posted 3-Jun-2005 11:06am I'm a male - handshakes, slaps on the back, and occasional hugging. It sounds like a weather report geared towards affection. |
| bombill | posted 3-Jun-2005 11:47am male that occasionally hugs |

| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to SIMPSONANGEL) posted 3-Jun-2005 1:16pm > ONE OF MY FRIENDS IS REALLY NICE AND I LOVED HAVING THE EXPERIENCE

| darkroomdanny | posted 3-Jun-2005 1:16pm I'm a female- hug occasionally, unless I fancy them!

| whizkid | (reply to justjulie) posted 3-Jun-2005 2:29pm your buddies screen name...EyesofCharisma, totally kewl name. you're the gypsy that I read past surveys about. groovey way to live, just happenin in the moment! |

| cerealkiller | posted 3-Jun-2005 2:54pm I avoid human contact as much as possible. |
| Biggles | posted 3-Jun-2005 3:59pm Close female friends - fairly frequent hugging (but I'm not a very huggy person, so that's just frequent for me). Less close female friends - only at certain times like in sympathy, greeting or parting. I go arm in arm with my mum, but I'd consider her a relative first and a friend second (although she is both). I've also given her back rubs (she has a bad back) but I'm pretty evil at that - it hurts! I had a friend at school who professed to be a lesbian (I think she settled on bisexuality later), had a crush and wasn't very good with boundaries and she could be very touchy feely - leg stroking etc. and would insist on a kiss on the lips in greeting. I haven't had any other female friends who were so tactile. |
| SIMPSONANGEL | (reply to SIMPSONANGEL) posted 3-Jun-2005 4:19pm Sorry I am just use to writing in caps |
| SIMPSONANGEL | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 3-Jun-2005 4:21pm I am sorry, I am just use to writing in caps |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to SIMPSONANGEL) posted 3-Jun-2005 4:42pm It's a habit you should consider getting rid of, especially at this site. If you plan to create surveys, you will be given grief if you do them in all caps. As I said, typing in all caps is the same as yelling at us and it's difficult to read as well. |
| autumnlight | posted 3-Jun-2005 5:48pm I only hug my close friends as a hello - or at an emotional moment. I hold hands with my friends only at occasions like a gig where we dont want to lose eachother. |
| SIMPSONANGEL | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 3-Jun-2005 5:51pm Chill out I said Im sorry and if I have a habit of it, it doesnt really matter. I said I was sorry and I think that was enough. How is it difficult to read any how? I have to write in all caps at work

| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to SIMPSONANGEL) posted 3-Jun-2005 5:54pm Whatever...I was just giving you a heads-up to save you grief later on. |
| justjulie | (reply to whizkid) posted 3-Jun-2005 6:07pm yeah...cool name to fit a pretty cool chick

| Iseult | posted 3-Jun-2005 10:14pm Depends on which friends. Depends how drunk. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 4-Jun-2005 7:34am Handshakes and slaps on the back is as far as I'll go. |
| sexy1 | posted 4-Jun-2005 8:59am i just hug my friends occasionally |
| gambler | posted 4-Jun-2005 5:24pm Male, Handshakes slap on the back, and hug occasionally.................When I went to London recently and hooked up with my "homies" there were hugs all round |
| gambler | (reply to bill) posted 4-Jun-2005 5:27pm I burst out laughing when I read your comment................. |
| gambler | posted 4-Jun-2005 5:29pm Firstly, it would read better It is none of you business, I am not a homosexual.......... that was not what the survey was asking, furthermore you did not HAVE to answer, but chose to?.........You'll go far here |
| TrinityAnn | posted 5-Jun-2005 8:49pm with just friends, especially straight ones all i have done is hug, hold hands or arm in arm but only like at a place thats crowded and we dont want to get seperated...on second thought, not sure if i have ever really held hands but i could have, and i have given back rubs/massages to them, but non sexual. only one incident did i cuddle/caress with a friend...it was before i came out and we were both curious but it only happened one night then we went on like it never happened |
| icurok | posted 7-Jun-2005 1:09pm None of the above. At work, me and my best friend call each other 'darling', but there's no affectionate touching whatsoever. Even handshakes are reserved for greeting people formally (and I don't do that very often). |
| whizkid | (reply to TrinityAnn) posted 7-Jun-2005 4:40pm > with just friends, especially straight ones all i have done is hug,

| freebird | (reply to SIMPSONANGEL) posted 7-Jun-2005 11:21pm Where I work that's not professional and she's right, it will give you grief and if you do a survey, it won't pass.
It's harder to read because most of us on this site are older and it's harder for us to see it. |
| TrinityAnn | (reply to whizkid) posted 8-Jun-2005 12:46am i meant at big events like arm in arm you know like at a concert or something with thousands of ppl,etc oh im sorry....your probably to young to go to concerts all by your self so you wouldnt know what thats like |
| whizkid | (reply to TrinityAnn) posted 8-Jun-2005 2:56pm No, TA...I go arm in arm with a few dozens of my buddies so we don't get separated in the crowd...and get murdered |
| CGTREE | posted 8-Jun-2005 10:52pm Well i am pretty comfortable with my three very best friends of the same sex. We dont get naked or anything. Thats just too far. But we'll hug each other once in a while. Say I love you. Pat on the back, sometimes a massage of the shoulders. Once in a while we get silly and hold hands or walk arm in arm. It's all in good fun. Sometimes its for show. But I think it's important to show same sex friends that you do love them and are totally comfortable with them in a heterosexual way. Obviously the love is not what a girl friend/ boy friend relationship would be but still theres love. |
| Katja144 | posted 20-Jun-2005 2:11am Pretty much I only hug people when they hug me first. I'm not a touchy-feely person period, no matter who the other person is or what their sex is (except my partner). I don't even hug my parents all that much. |
| Diagne | posted 21-Jun-2005 1:50pm HAHAHA!! no wonder everyone thinks im a lesbian!! |

Its only a friendly kiss, and we will grab each others asses n boobs sumtimes who really cares?
