| fooyun | posted 4-May-1999 11:57pm Don't know any of 'em. |

| mags | posted 5-May-1999 1:53am it's amazing how many i can't recognize, being the astronomer. but I could tell you all about the stars that make up those constellations!! |
| bill | posted 5-May-1999 5:15am The moon, she is a harsh mistress. |
| spidertea | posted 5-May-1999 8:44am i love looking at the stars, if you look at them long enough w/out manmade light you can see their real colors, they are red, blue, green, purple, etc, it is so pretty, i can see why primitive cultures used them for religion |
| lizzie | posted 5-May-1999 5:42pm I guess I don't know the scientific names. I can spot the big and little dippers, as well as Orion's belt. That's about it. |
| pcpr | posted 6-May-1999 2:37am Southern Cross (when I'm in Brazil), but that's pretty much it. When it comes to stars/constellations I'm pretty much useless. |
| gilly | posted 6-May-1999 5:03am Orion, the Big Dipper, and Casseopeia. Not a lot, but it means I can usually spot something familiar at any time of year, which is all I need as a reminder that there is still *some* order in the universe. |
| SueBee | posted 7-May-1999 3:26pm I love looking at the stars, but have no real interest in astronomy. I do enjoy watching how the Big Dipper changes position in the sky depending on the time of night and the season. But mostly I just like to watch them all twinkle! |
| dpolicar | posted 11-May-1999 10:52pm some of these, assuming I can actually see any stars at all. |
| phi | posted 15-May-1999 11:49am Mostly I can only identify the ones near the poles (either pole, it doesn't matter). The only non-polar one I can identify is Orion. |
