| bombill | posted 28-May-2005 1:14am No, it's a fine acronym. |
| jettles | posted 28-May-2005 7:05am nope |
| bill | posted 28-May-2005 7:39am yes, it's one of the many annoying things about qual |
| they | posted 28-May-2005 8:13am No, it does not bother me.
It means: What Everyone Else Said |
| ROCKMAN | posted 28-May-2005 9:00am I don't bother me, and I have used it also.
wees wees wees wees wees wees wees wees wees wees wees ok I'll stop. |
| gambler | posted 28-May-2005 9:20am No, this survey matter has been covered in many other surveys I for one had to ask this in the forum part of this site What everyone else says...you just had to ask......... I am marking this survey good because it should not be below a 50 rating |
| gambler | (reply to bill) posted 28-May-2005 9:21am ?........ it really annoys you? |
| bill | (reply to gambler) posted 28-May-2005 11:08am Yeah... it sucks when you make a decent survey, but it gets held up qual by minor nitpicks and such. Especially, when other people support the minor gripe with a wees vote. Basically, whenever I make a few surveys, I get pissed off at the way people act in qual. It's a pain in the ass to make a survey, qual makes it even harder. In comparison, it's just too easy to vote with a wees. ... It motivates me to change the way qual works, but I haven't thought of a good way to change it. |
| gambler | (reply to bill) posted 28-May-2005 1:02pm mmmmmmm but is that not what qual is for?...... I very very rarely use "wees" but i agree with you I voted a survey reasonable today even though it had a minor spelling mistake |
| Iseult | posted 28-May-2005 1:29pm No, but it bothers me when people use possessives incorrectly. It's only one distinguishable case and it's like everybody on purpose tries to get it wrong.
Bad Survey. |
| Enheduanna | posted 28-May-2005 1:35pm I so rarely go into Qual that it tends not the have a chance to bother me. I don't know if it would bother me if I participated in Qual regularly. |
| Biggles | posted 28-May-2005 3:07pm A little, but not especially. |
| moonstone | posted 28-May-2005 4:30pm yes |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 28-May-2005 6:43pm At first it did, but since I've discovered what it meant, it doesn't bother me as much. |
| bcollins | posted 28-May-2005 7:54pm No but it bugs me when people whine and make a big deal about it. |
| flowershower | posted 28-May-2005 8:11pm Sort of, since I do NOT know what it means. |
| flowershower | posted 28-May-2005 8:13pm But, now I do. |
| Frostbrand | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 28-May-2005 11:54pm Yeah, I know, but how could I pass up the chance for a Fight Club reference? |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 29-May-2005 12:21am Nah...I know you live to throw out movie references any chance you can! |
| YukonGold | posted 29-May-2005 10:26am It annoys me the same way "anyway" does. It is dismissive. Say something or don't say it. "what everyone else said" is just a copout and so often people "wees" the most minor things. But as Bill said (who by the way doesn't like it either) it's nothing to get bent about. I just ignore the wees now. |
| CGTREE | (reply to gambler) posted 29-May-2005 10:27am Yeah it does really annoy me. It would be fine if they typed it all out, But I get really pissed of when I see acronyms. Seems to me like it's supposed to take less time just saying the letters or just writing the letters, but then you have to tell everyone what the hell it means. It seems like it takes more time to me. |
| autumnlight | posted 29-May-2005 12:35pm No, I say it a lot when I have nothing else to add |
| romkey | (reply to bill) posted 29-May-2005 2:14pm What bothers me most is the sheep mentality... |
| bill | (reply to romkey) posted 29-May-2005 3:07pm Someone suggested making qual votes visible only to the survey creator... then, the qualifiers would not know what others said, thus no wees possible. |
| sexy1 | posted 29-May-2005 3:15pm no it doesn't bother me!!! |
| gambler | (reply to CGTREE) posted 29-May-2005 7:23pm I understand it, dont get me wrong if there was a spelling error and you saw it too... i understand the urge to "wees"............ such is life |
| romkey | (reply to bill) posted 29-May-2005 9:19pm That's a really interesting idea! |
| Frostbrand | (reply to bill) posted 30-May-2005 1:44am > Someone suggested making qual votes visible only
> to the survey creator... then, the qualifiers > would not know what others said, thus no wees > possible. Although I'm sure that the person who suggested this did not intend to insult, I'm choosing to take it that way anyway. |
| Zang | posted 30-May-2005 9:22am Somewhat. |
| TrinityAnn | posted 30-May-2005 11:29pm no because i understand what it means and that sometimes its neccecery so people dont have to repeat things over and over, also if alot of people say that they agree with "what everyone else said" then maybe the creator will get the idea to change it/how to change it, shows that more than one person has a certain perspective/opinion |
| TrinityAnn | (reply to Frostbrand) posted 30-May-2005 11:34pm i loved the movie fight club but its been so long since ive seen it, what exactly is the first rule of fight club if you dont mind my asking? i dont remember that part (as in what they actually said) |

I coined the phrase, so if you have issues, take 'em up with me. Just remember the first rule of Fight Club before you show up.
