It's hard to say for sure, but I'm fairly positive that I've had life-saving medical care (including drugs and surgery). Though, it wasn't so much a someone who saved me, but a team of medical professionals. It's not that I was about to die, but I was very sick. I assume I would have died without care eventually. |

When I was little, before I could swim, one of my cousins was paddling around a swimming pool with me hanging on her back. She went into the deep end and then decided that my arms around her neck were annoying (I had probably tightened my grip since we were in the deep end) and dumped me off. My dad ran over and jumped in and pulled me out. I don't know if I would have drowned or if I would have been able to doggy-paddle to the edge, but I assume that the former is more likely and that he saved me. |

When I was young I apparently had no fear of water. My mother told me that when I was 3 or 4 I walked down the steps into the shallow end of the pool at the summer camp where my parents both worked and just kept right on walking. My father saved me.
I had a really bad asthma attack in college and one of the campus police took me to the hospital. I believe he saved my life. |

Yes, in 1993 my then husband tried to kill me with a baseball bat. He was killing me but a neighbor came out and gave him a taste of his own medicine. He beat him with a bat too. The guy did a number on him after my ex tried to kill me. I owe that man my life. My daughters were watching this unfold, they were 5 and 3 at the time. |

Yes...
When I was about 4 and my sister about 6, my parents would always take us canoeing.. We wore life vests and everything. Anyway, one time we came upon a couple who's canoe had sunk. We took the two adults into our canoe and just as we were almost to the stopping point, we capsized. The woman grabbed my sister and I and prevented us from being dragged downriver.
When I was very pregnant and sleeping, my dog woke me up. I was hemorrhaging. If I hadn't woken up, my daughter and I both could have died. I guess he smelled the blood. Good boy |

And now that bill mentioned medical intervention..
My life has been saved at least twice by doctors.
My life has also been put on the line by doctors. |

I've never choked or anything. I am pretty thankful for it, too. |

When I was a bit younger, I had a life-threatening allergy for bee/wasp stings. Anyways, one time I got stung by a wasp, and that was before we knew about the allergy. My hand (where I got stung) was now three time larger than it's original size. My throat was swelling as well. My mother had given me ice and thought it would go away. But when I started coughing, my mom drove me to the hospital where I stayed overnight. I had injections and everything. I don't think I have the allergy, anymore. |

When I was a baby I had a strange red mark on my leg. My mother thought it was just a red mark but my dad got memories of his brother who lost his leg to cancer (and later died) and insisted we went to the hospital. I went floppy while we were waiting to be seen. If I hadn't been at the hospital already, I could have died. |

My life was saved in the Emergency Room here at our local hospital, by a great team of doctors and nurses? I would have died 5 years ago if not for the Paramedics and doctors who worked on me, I was so close to crossing over to the other side of death we never see. I was not even afraid to die, death is nothing to be scared of? And now that I am who I am in this world it will be even better if I were to drop dead of a heart attack it would not be so bad at all. I could not face death being somebody that I am not" |

And to better explain this I just had so many problems with my heart and health problems and hypertension? And the hypertension has gone away since my transition into a woman over 5 years and this has made a difference in my life, and I am who I am? If not for transition I would be dead and gone. |

Plus I have been suicidal many and many years ago, I tried to kill myself and the Emergency Room doctors saved my life back then? I would never ever even think of suicide now that I am the woman I have always wanted to be, why kill yourself if you are the man or woman that you want to be? |
