No, absolutely not. I'm not ashamed of my body but I don't plan to walk around naked in a group of other people. I didn't like showering after gym in high school and this would be even worse. At least I knew the guys in gym class but in a nudist colony most people would be complete strangers.

To you perhaps, but I actually looked into nudist camps (in the States, I have no idea what they may be like where you are) about 10 years ago out of pure curiosity, and I found out two general things about such camps. Many, many, many nudist camps are thinly-veiled orgy camps, and the average age is somewhere in the mid 50's.

Third, your assertion of my conservatism is misplaced. I am not a conservative, or a liberal, or a centrist. I am a pragmatist; my political views run the gamut.

Finally, whether you like it or not, I made inquires to some nudist colonies years ago. I expressed an interest in joing with my girlfriend (at the behest of my girlfriend) and was invariably told two things. One, there were many "swinger" activities my girlfriend and I would enjoy. Two, most of the memberes were in their fifties, but the colony would accept all mature applicants.

A nudist colony has nothing to do with orgies and having sex. It is simply to have the choice to be naked with other people. Obviously people can't be naked in public, they would get arrested. But a nudist colony allows people to be naked among each other with out getting arrested or made fun of.

No. I'm not sure that they have them around here. I've been to a "clothing optional" beach. I don't have a problem with that sort of thing. I kind of like it. I get the impression that nudist colonies are a lot more hard-core with the philosophy of nudism and much more of a social club. I'm not into that sort of thing. I kind of think that those people are weirdos. They take it too far...too seriously.

I have already been to a nudist beach many times. Once with my wife and many times by myself. Feeling the sun and the fresh air all over my naked body is so exhilarating , and the place I go is away from traffic and city noises. It's so peaceful there. Although normally I'm a little bit of a porn addict, (do addict and normal go together?), yet in this context nudity doesn't arouse me sexually. Instead, I find that it creates in me an overall sense of wellbeing that feels almost as good as sex. I enjoy looking at the other nudists, not as sexual objects, but as works of art, and I can't help but think "what a wonderful thing God did when he created us".
