| Locutus | posted 19-Apr-2005 12:42pm Yes, but I have no experience. |
| bill | posted 19-Apr-2005 12:57pm I've done this. A couple weeks ago, my wife helped me change the battery in my car too (pretty easy). My wife knows a lot about cars. So, if I didn't know how to do something basic, I could ask her how. |
| Biggles | posted 19-Apr-2005 1:12pm I don't have a car, but no, I wouldn't. I can replace a fuse in a plug though! |
| southernyankee | posted 19-Apr-2005 1:31pm no, unfortuanlty no |
| Updown | posted 19-Apr-2005 1:34pm Yes. I have done it before. |
| darkroomdanny | posted 19-Apr-2005 4:33pm Yes, but I have no experience. I'd look in the manual to work out which fuse to change, I know where they are in the car.
The little light doesn't work in my gear knob bit (that highlights R,N,D,1,2,3,4...) I don't know if it's a fuse or a bulb gone but I haven't bothered to find out. I guess if it was important then I would make an effort to change it. |
| Enheduanna | posted 19-Apr-2005 4:54pm No, but I'm sure I could look at the manual and figure it out. |
| Danger | posted 19-Apr-2005 6:34pm Yes, I would take it to the mechanic, and it would get done. I've never done it before but I'm sure it would work. |
| Matty | posted 19-Apr-2005 7:48pm of course |
| LindaH | posted 19-Apr-2005 8:28pm I'd bring it to my dad's house. (He lives next door) |

| kirst | posted 19-Apr-2005 11:57pm I've changed fuses before in my Jeep. However, I don't even know if the Mercedes I drive here has a fusebox. Everything is computerized on the car...no idea about our Lexus either. Back in the US, I'm not sure about either our P.T. Cruiser or our Pacifica. I'd obviously have a look at the manual...if they have fuse boxes, I could change a fuse. (One other issue here in Hong Kong, I wouldn't know where to go to buy a car fuse!) |
| patarnone | posted 20-Apr-2005 4:50am Yes, I have done so in the past, but I haven't had a car for 5 years. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 20-Apr-2005 7:13am Yers, of course. I've had to do this many times. |
| gambler | posted 20-Apr-2005 8:08am Yes and have done it |
| Zang | posted 20-Apr-2005 10:24am Yeah. I used to work in gas stations back when they fixed cars instead of selling beef jerky.
I don't have a car, but I still know how to do this. |
| they | posted 20-Apr-2005 1:38pm Yes, I would drive it up to the dealership and get it taken care of...

| Wolfgang | (reply to bill) posted 20-Apr-2005 5:21pm Goodness, never let her go! |
| Wolfgang | (reply to Locutus) posted 20-Apr-2005 5:21pm I suppose I cannot use a house fuse. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 20-Apr-2005 7:32pm Almost. |
| bcollins | posted 20-Apr-2005 10:24pm Yes as I've done this before. At present I only have a bike as my car went bellyup last year and it would have cost more to fix it then it was worth. It was kind of a junker anyway. |
| moonstone | posted 21-Apr-2005 3:12pm Yes, tell Mike. |
| Iseult | posted 22-Apr-2005 12:26pm What's a fuse? |

| Locutus | (reply to Wolfgang) posted 25-Apr-2005 3:37pm Not ususally, unless you make some modifications to the fuse holders in your fusebox. |
