I've done this. A couple weeks ago, my wife helped me change the battery in my car too (pretty easy). My wife knows a lot about cars. So, if I didn't know how to do something basic, I could ask her how.

I don't have a car, but no, I wouldn't. I can replace a fuse in a plug though!

Yes, but I have no experience. I'd look in the manual to work out which fuse to change, I know where they are in the car.

The little light doesn't work in my gear knob bit (that highlights R,N,D,1,2,3,4...) I don't know if it's a fuse or a bulb gone but I haven't bothered to find out. I guess if it was important then I would make an effort to change it.

No, but I'm sure I could look at the manual and figure it out.

Yes, I would take it to the mechanic, and it would get done. I've never done it before but I'm sure it would work.

I've changed fuses before in my Jeep. However, I don't even know if the Mercedes I drive here has a fusebox. Everything is computerized on the car...no idea about our Lexus either. Back in the US, I'm not sure about either our P.T. Cruiser or our Pacifica. I'd obviously have a look at the manual...if they have fuse boxes, I could change a fuse. (One other issue here in Hong Kong, I wouldn't know where to go to buy a car fuse!)

Yes, I have done so in the past, but I haven't had a car for 5 years.

Yeah. I used to work in gas stations back when they fixed cars instead of selling beef jerky.

I don't have a car, but I still know how to do this.

Yes as I've done this before. At present I only have a bike as my car went bellyup last year and it would have cost more to fix it then it was worth. It was kind of a junker anyway.

Not ususally, unless you make some modifications to the fuse holders in your fusebox.
