| LindaH | posted 18-Apr-2005 9:41pm I haven't tried all of these. I have a cordless and I don't like it. You can't turn the ringer off. |
| Biggles | posted 18-Apr-2005 9:41pm I prefer phones with cords that are large enough to hold between the head and shoulder (hands free). I dislike cordless phones because they're often too small to do that. We have cordless phones at home now so my parents can have one in their bedroom for when my dad gets called out during the night. My room phone at university is a regular cord one though. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 18-Apr-2005 9:43pm I don't have a preference. I own both a regular phone with cord and a cordless phone. The one with the cord is downstairs, the cordless upstairs. I use whichever phone I'm closest to when it rings. I haven't tried the others you listed. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to LindaH) posted 18-Apr-2005 9:45pm That's odd! Is it an older model? I can turn off the ringer on my cordless. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to Biggles) posted 18-Apr-2005 9:48pm Did you look through the link I put in my survey ("If you were Pope, what would your name be?"). Part way down on the list is Pope Biggles. |
| LindaH | posted 18-Apr-2005 9:49pm It must be an older one. I don't really like answering the phone. I'd rather throw it at the wall. |
| Biggles | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 18-Apr-2005 9:51pm I don't remember there being a link...I'll have to go check it out.
Biggles would have made an awful Pope - raised CofE but not a religious man. |
| RainingFeathers | posted 18-Apr-2005 9:56pm I prefer a cordless phone, although a phone with a cord is fine too. I don't like headsets, and I can't stand using a speaker phone. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to Biggles) posted 18-Apr-2005 10:28pm That's okay....it's a joke survey anyway. |
| Enheduanna | posted 18-Apr-2005 10:40pm Cordless phone. |
| patarnone | posted 19-Apr-2005 2:29am There is a wall phone in the kitchen with a VERY long cord. There are 2 cordless, office and bedroom.
If I had a phone in my room, I'd want a headset. |
| autumnlight | posted 19-Apr-2005 5:57am Cordless |
| kirst | posted 19-Apr-2005 7:17am cordless |
| dab | posted 19-Apr-2005 8:06am I prefer to answer with a corded phone (because I know where it is) but then talk with a cordless headset phone. |
| jettles | posted 19-Apr-2005 8:12am cordless, god i hate when people use the speaker phone to talk to me. |
| tweedle | posted 19-Apr-2005 12:07pm I won't say information such as social security numbers, credit card numbers, etc on a cordless or cellular phone. |
| Matty | posted 19-Apr-2005 12:24pm coredless phone is fine; I have plenty of whiz-bang stuff at work |
| Updown | posted 19-Apr-2005 1:45pm Cordless phone without question. |
| Wolfgang | (reply to gambler) posted 19-Apr-2005 3:09pm I imagine the days before all of these magical telephones...when we were strapped to conventional methods. of course i was very small then. what am I saying! I was never very small. my telephone is shaped like a duck. |
| Galomorro | posted 19-Apr-2005 9:53pm I have a phone for the hearing-impaired. It has a very LOUD ring. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 20-Apr-2005 3:21am I prefer a 25' coiled cord. I'm the only one I know who doesn't have their phone batteries die on them during calls.
I also insist on phones with the buttons on the base so I can still listen while navigating phone trees or simply dialing. My current phone glows with purple neon. I preferred the one that glowed blue, more of a psychic connection (remote viewing, astral flights) quality to the blue. |
| gambler | posted 20-Apr-2005 8:10am cordless........ I tend to walk around when im on the phone.............. the headset stuff I feel like a dick when i wear one |
| Danger | posted 20-Apr-2005 9:51am I generally use and like a cordless phone, but one with a cord is also just as likeable. |
| Zang | posted 20-Apr-2005 10:38am I mostly use cell phones and have for the past five years or so. I don't like cordless phones. The sound quality sucks. I don't care for speaker phone either. Most people tend to think that their phone conversations are private. |
| darkroomdanny | posted 20-Apr-2005 11:22am I'm not bothered which type, I answer the one that's nearer. One of the first two options. |
| they | posted 20-Apr-2005 1:49pm I chose to read "regular" as a home phone.
So I picked cordless. At work, I prefer to use my headset, and the calls just pop in to me without my doing anything to answer them. |
| bcollins | posted 20-Apr-2005 10:28pm I have just a regular trimline phone with a cord. I've used a cordless but don't own one and can't see any difference as to reception and clarity between the two. I haven't had any experience using a headset telephone or using a speaker phone. |
| Iseult | posted 22-Apr-2005 12:28pm Cordless phone. If I can find it. I kept losing mine.
Nevertheless, we got rid of our regular phones. Both my dad and I have cellphones. |
| Dino | posted 22-Apr-2005 5:43pm I have a cordless phone at home.
And I use headsets at work. But I wish I had cordless headset at work. My life would be so much easier! |
| ROCKMAN | posted 24-Apr-2005 10:05am I have to say cordless, but I do 99% of my calling on my cell phone. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 24-Apr-2005 6:13pm I love having my cordless phone for moving around the house plus going outside to my car. It is so much easier to have a cordless phone like cooking and talking in the kitchen on the telephone |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 28-Apr-2005 9:39pm Cordless, so I could have it with me when a call comes, instead of having to run a mile only to miss a call. |
| endlsdazlglo | posted 1-May-2005 3:51pm cordless, it sux when the electricity goes out tho, i hate headsets and corded phones have become outdated |
| Enigma | posted 10-May-2005 11:39pm The only person I will talk to on a speaker phone is my lawyer. Hate speaker phones. |
| iwish40 | posted 11-May-2005 1:14am We used to have a Regular home phone in NY.. but here in IL. most people use a Cellphone, Landlines are way too expensive., |
| sexy1 | posted 16-May-2005 12:58pm a cordless phone, i can be walking around the house doing things while im talking |
| nonamejj18 | posted 13-Jun-2005 5:23pm cordless all the way |
