| Zang | posted 16-Apr-2005 3:31pm Moderate. I might drink once or twice a month. When I do, I have between one and seven drinks. |
| Zang | (reply to patarnone) posted 16-Apr-2005 3:49pm Hey! I just checked out your friend's website. Those are some excellent tunes! |
| romkey | posted 16-Apr-2005 4:04pm minimal to non-existent but not never |
| Cain | posted 16-Apr-2005 4:06pm At the moment, never.
However, post-preganancy I shall be celebrating much and catching up for lost time. |
| Enheduanna | posted 16-Apr-2005 4:21pm Rare. I have a glass of wine, on average, once every two months or so, and maybe a gin-and-tonic once or twice year. I'd say I get drunk only once every year or two (not that it takes much). |
| Matty | posted 16-Apr-2005 6:03pm I would say on ocassion; parties, New Year's, etc. But that's not what I'd call either moderate or rare. |
| bcollins | posted 16-Apr-2005 6:17pm Rare. I'll have a beer, two at the most every once in awhile if I'm at a bar with friends. Probably not more often then every few months. I'm not much of a drinker as I just don't care much for alcoholic drinks. I prefer coffee, iced tea, milk or juice over alcoholic drinks. |
| kirst | posted 16-Apr-2005 8:45pm Moderate, I guess. I don't drink very often anymore, but occasionally I'll drink several glasses of champagne. Haven't had any since we returned from Phuket, but during our holiday there we drank our share. |

No, seriously, I've been bad this year. My friend and I were just analysing our alcohol consuption (tonight at the bar). We've been thrashed always every week this semester. |
| Amanda | posted 17-Apr-2005 3:21am Moderate. For a while, I had really cut back on drinking alcohol, but I've been drinking a little more lately. I have a couple of drinks 3-4 times a week. |
| gingersnap | posted 17-Apr-2005 3:25am Rare - strict Catholic college |
| patarnone | (reply to Zang) posted 17-Apr-2005 4:10am Wow, thanks... She is up for Entertainer of the Year from the Washington State Blues Society, also on the Seattle Weekly's contest, she's in 3 categories... blues, guitar, and lifetime achievement. Anyone can vote, here's the site.
http://www.seattleweekly.com/musicawards/ballot.ph... We will be back up in Bellingham maybe sometime this summer, even, they really love us up there and want us back... probably at The Wild Buffalo or a Mt Baker Theater concert. We will be in Anacortes at The Rockfish Grill May 14th, a Saturday... we did their New Year's Eve party. Last year The Alice Stuart Band was voted Seattle's Best Blues Band... want it again this year, too! We have a show May 1st in Pioneer Square. If you liked what you heard on the website, you'll go nuts listening in person! Our next cd will be a lot of live stuff. I sure hope you can catch us sometime, I guarantee it'd be worth it! Alice rocks! |
| autumnlight | posted 17-Apr-2005 6:14am Rare, but increasing recently. I had one drink last night, and 8 the other day. Before that I hadn't drunk in weeks. |

When I go out I have, on average, 3 beers and then switch to water or lemondade. |

| Zang | (reply to patarnone) posted 17-Apr-2005 6:49pm Does she ever come up to Vancouver? |
| gambler | posted 17-Apr-2005 7:18pm Ironic....... That I run a duty free liquor store and have a very well stocked bar with some rare and expensive scotches and cognacs and rums........ I would say rare .... maybe one drink every 2 weeks? except the odd beer? |
| BillyBobBob | posted 17-Apr-2005 7:41pm minimal |
| patarnone | (reply to Zang) posted 17-Apr-2005 8:23pm We've been wondering about that, actually. Any hints on how to break into the Vancouver scene? She's rock/blues/Americana... the band really rocks. She gets back from California tomorrow, I'll ask about Vancouver. |
| Iseult | (reply to gambler) posted 17-Apr-2005 8:35pm so if you want to buy stuff from your duty-free liquer store by what price do you sell the items to yourself? |
| gambler | (reply to Iseult) posted 17-Apr-2005 8:54pm Honestly?....... I either just take them and write them off or alot of times they are gifts/samples from suppliers............... when you coming to Ja? |
| iwish40 | posted 17-Apr-2005 11:22pm Don't keep any Alcohol in the house, hardly ever buy any, go out maybe 2 times a yr.
If I can taste the Alcohol in my drink, I don't like it. But I do like shots of Kamikazes. and Yeagamister (don't know there correct spellings) |

| patarnone | (reply to Zang) posted 18-Apr-2005 2:34am thanks... I forwarded the link to both Alice and her husband Jim. |
| thevelvetcure | posted 18-Apr-2005 5:47am Currently rare, during the summer when I'm amongst my friends, probably moderate (6-8 a week) but my first night home will be heavy, I guarantee it |
| thevelvetcure | (reply to gambler) posted 18-Apr-2005 5:50am I noticed once when you posted the site of your work that you have Laphroaig |
| gambler | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 18-Apr-2005 9:36am I drink scotch..but islay malts are just nasty ....too peaty (except Bowmore, which seems more highland in taste) you would love Lagavulin 16yr old then ! |
| thevelvetcure | (reply to gambler) posted 18-Apr-2005 12:13pm I haven't tweaked my Scotch & Whiskey tastes yet, insufficieent funds. Compared to Bushmill's (my usual 'cheap' whiskey, Laphroiag is up there in my book. Like I said, I lack the funds to taste too many. |
| southernyankee | posted 18-Apr-2005 12:43pm rare and somewhat heavy. I should probabbly learn to not overestimate alchohol beverages. Especially your vodkas and whatnot. |
| they | posted 18-Apr-2005 12:46pm Rare.. but it has increased some lately with the purchase of my new blender..
Margarita anyone?? |
| Updown | posted 18-Apr-2005 2:44pm Moderate, but then again any one who drinks regularly and calls it moderate is probably underestimating their amount of consumption. |
| Iseult | (reply to gambler) posted 18-Apr-2005 3:06pm Probaby August. But I need to know when there is Greek fest in TO because I don't want to miss it. |
| Locutus | posted 19-Apr-2005 10:53am Never-when I become of legal drinking age, though, it might increase. |
| Wolfgang | (reply to ahouston) posted 19-Apr-2005 4:01pm Are you wondering what most people consider heavy, or light ? What does moderate mean to you? We are all equal here and some subjects relate to our individual histories...as a rule, if you believe you are indulging too much...well..you know the rest |
| gambler | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 20-Apr-2005 8:03am Bushmills......good Irish whiskey.....and is so totally different in taste |
| gambler | (reply to Iseult) posted 20-Apr-2005 8:03am August?............its really hot then |
| thevelvetcure | (reply to gambler) posted 20-Apr-2005 12:05pm Oddly enough, last night was the end of a hellish period, so it was time to make a trip to the package store. I settled on Speyburn. As I only had one drink so far, so it's not too fair to judge it as yet. However, tis not looking to favorably. |
| gambler | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 20-Apr-2005 3:58pm I dont think this message was for me? |
| Iseult | (reply to gambler) posted 22-Apr-2005 12:20pm Is it because of you? *wink* Nah, I'll deal with it. I heard it's not as humid. I don't know if you know about summers in Toronto, but they're brutal. They only difference is that we get brutal winters, too, while yours are nice. |
| jesselee | posted 25-Apr-2005 10:41am I drink on average maybe once a month, alot of it depends on the time of the year and where the parties are. |
| gambler | (reply to Iseult) posted 6-May-2005 1:15pm Hi Amy......Im Back from europe........BTW I just take the liquor and write it off |
| Enigma | posted 12-May-2005 5:54pm I picked rare but it would really be a little more than rare... |
| nonamejj18 | posted 13-Jun-2005 5:34pm i prefer kool-aid, it gets me super hyper....way better without the hang over |
| icurok | posted 15-Jun-2005 1:58pm Used to be moderate. It's now rare. |
| mel_danielle | posted 29-Jun-2005 3:09am Alright this is tricky...I go months without drinking then i get drunk off my ass and don't drink again for a few more months..its weird |
| mve17 | posted 29-Jul-2005 10:56am at the ripe old age of 17 i hardly drink anymore.. back in the good old days of being like 14 it was heavy |
| teatree | posted 26-Aug-2005 9:55pm Rare at best. I maybe consume two glasses of white wine in a year. The only time I drink white wine is when I'm at a fancy restaurant. Other times I drink iced tea, milk water, soft drinks (only occasionally), juice. I'm not much of a drinker, never have been. |
| Melf | posted 21-Nov-2008 3:49am Rare to moderate. I get drunk once a month or two. |

That reminds me, the coffee's about done, might just have a little nudge! But I still call myself a light drinker.
