Assuming that you read the newspaper * wink * .

don't have one. I read the newspaper for straight news, though even that is tainted by how crapty modern reporting is.

Only one I look at regularly is online (don't read a physical newspaper) in the San Jose Mercury News - Gary Richards, otherwise known as Mr. Roadshow. he discusses traffic problems, laws, gripes, vehicles, etc. He has published my email questions to him several times and sometimes he responds directly by email.

I can't remember where I saw the story (I think it was on the BBC), but is Hirsi Ali still attending Parliament? I know she was threatened. Has there been an attempt on her life? I thought it was brave of her to be a part of Submission, although, I had no idea it was only 10 minutes long (thanks for the link).

Yes, she is still an MP. After Van Gogh's assassination she was in hiding for 2 months. But now she is back and closely guarded.

Partially. When I was in my twenties (before I became a family man of my own) I used to go round to my parents' house for Sunday lunch. My dad bought the Mail and Sunday and, amongst other things, I would read Peter Hitchens' column. It was like it was a conduit for any latent aggression I was feeling. I could feel my blood boil as I read it and thought, "What a hateful chicken!".

Years later, my dad admitted that he hated it too and only ever bought it because he used to secretly watch me reading it and found the look on my face hugely entertaining.

PS - I miss this place, but I'm so busy at work and home these days I don't get the time * frown * .
