| caviartaste | posted 4-Apr-2005 9:33pm Ohhhhhh....my dog snores so LOUD!!!!!!!!!! she saws some logs!!!!! ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 4-Apr-2005 9:37pm Yes, I currently own a cat that snores. She sounds so adorable when she does! |
| kirst | posted 4-Apr-2005 9:42pm Yes, my cat snores. She has one day left to snore...she's been sick for awhile. We just returned from 10 days from Phuket and she looks horrible. All skin and bones, difficulty walking, etc, etc. My mom kept telling me I'd know when it was the right time to have my cat put down. I now know what she means. I've found a vet that will come to our boat to do it so that Kitty Cat (the only name she answers to...she was originally a stray in CT who moved to FL and later Hong Kong with me) doesn't have to deal with the stress of going to a vet's office. |
| Amanda | posted 4-Apr-2005 10:05pm I had a pekinese that snored big time. She always slept with me and would wake me up at night with her snoring. Oh, how I miss her. |
| Amanda | (reply to kirst) posted 4-Apr-2005 10:07pm Aww. I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. But, it's great that they'll come there to do it, so she won't be scared. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to kirst) posted 4-Apr-2005 10:40pm Poor baby! |
| CarolL | posted 4-Apr-2005 11:17pm I currently have a dog who snores. She's snoring right now as a matter of fact. She burps and farts, too. But she loves me and is loyal so I put up with it. |
| CarolL | (reply to kirst) posted 4-Apr-2005 11:18pm so sorry to hear it.....((((Kirst and Kitty Cat)))) |
| Enheduanna | posted 4-Apr-2005 11:24pm No. My previous cat breathed a little loudly sometimes, but I wouldn't call it snoring. |
| hitmehard1991 | posted 4-Apr-2005 11:32pm both my dogs |
| paulyw | posted 5-Apr-2005 12:14am My dog snored when we had him. We had to put him to sleep 2 years ago |
| patarnone | posted 5-Apr-2005 1:57am Ny nephew and I had a black Pug we named China. She snored sometimes, being a Pug.
When Michael moved in with his fiance, China went to live with them. She got out and was killed by a car. It took Michael 4 days before he could call me with the news. We got her same time as the rats. My white guy, Bob, use to ride around on her back. China: 5-20-04 to 12-21-04 Playing and waiting at The Rainbow Bridge |
| ROCKMAN | posted 5-Apr-2005 6:17am Yes, in the past I've had dogs that snored. My dogs now on't,or at least I have never heard them. |

| ihatespiders | posted 5-Apr-2005 4:25pm We had a blond German shepherd dog that snored, and occasionaly bark in his sleep. |
| Matty | posted 5-Apr-2005 6:36pm every pet I have had has snored. |

| Biggles | posted 6-Apr-2005 2:35pm Yes, some of our rats snored when they slept on their backs (unusual). |

I'm lost, what does this denote if you don't mind my asking |
| Purdy | posted 6-Apr-2005 4:49pm But my cat bites me-sometimes
and she tickles my feet with her tail |
| Wolfgang | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 6-Apr-2005 6:01pm my beta fish snores and i can tell by hearing the sound of bubbles coming from her small bowl... |
| patarnone | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 6-Apr-2005 6:10pm Pugs snore, big time. I had a Pug puppy for a while until she went to live with my nephew and got killed
I miss visiting and have my little China girl sleep and snore in my lap. |
| patarnone | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 6-Apr-2005 6:12pm Somebody else wrote about a now passed pet that snored. China was just killed a few months ago, so it is still very fresh with me. |
| DucKid | posted 6-Apr-2005 6:48pm I usually hate cats, but just by that one sentence I already like your cat! |
| thevelvetcure | (reply to patarnone) posted 6-Apr-2005 7:08pm My apologies, I didn't realize China was your pet |
| patarnone | (reply to thevelvetcure) posted 6-Apr-2005 7:13pm It's ok. I'm a real animal nut, in all variations! |
| patarnone | (reply to Biggles) posted 6-Apr-2005 7:15pm You had rats? Actual rats that snored? There's an attack of cuteness coming on! |
| autumnlight | posted 6-Apr-2005 7:37pm My cat snores. She is so cute! |
| peaches1979 | posted 6-Apr-2005 9:03pm My cocker spaniel who died two weeks ago snored all the time. It was cute and annoying at the same time. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to peaches1979) posted 6-Apr-2005 11:00pm I'm sorry to hear that! I owned a cocker spaniel when I was younger and at an earlier time, a springer spaniel. Spaniels are one of my favorite breeds. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to autumnlight) posted 6-Apr-2005 11:03pm I especially enjoy my kitty snoring when I'm home alone and the house is deathly quiet. Then I'll hear the soft, wheezy snore of my kitty curled up sleeping in "my" chair (her's really) in the other room. She wheezes a bit on top of the snore because she has pollen allergies just like her owners! It's comforting to hear her when I'm home alone, especially when I'm at the computer. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to DucKid) posted 6-Apr-2005 11:04pm > I usually hate cats, but just by that one sentence I already like

| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to DucKid) posted 7-Apr-2005 12:02am Did you look at the picture of my kitty on my user page? |
| toyotaman_us | posted 7-Apr-2005 12:14am I've had cats, but they never snored. |
| columbia | posted 7-Apr-2005 12:50am YES!!! my blue healer Australian Shepard does ALL the time.
|
| Starfish | posted 7-Apr-2005 8:33am Yes, I currently own a pet that snores. A cat, too. It's nice snoring, though. Makes me feel relaxed!
Sweet survey. |
| RaveDevil | posted 7-Apr-2005 2:08pm Yes, I currently own a shih-tzu that snores. He's round, fat, and rolls over onto his back when he sleeps. This is usually when he starts snoring, which is often very loud. |
| DucKid | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 7-Apr-2005 2:48pm Yes, I admit she looks kinda cute. Okay, she looks very cute. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to DucKid) posted 7-Apr-2005 3:50pm She is extremely cute, but then I'm prejudiced! |
| Cain | posted 8-Apr-2005 11:51am I have a snoring dog. But he's usually fairly quiet. |
| Biggles | (reply to patarnone) posted 8-Apr-2005 12:02pm My family kept rats for about 12 years - between 2 and 5 at a time. One of my rats, Vir was really, really fat (but difficult to avoid as reducing the food avilable to him would also have reduced the food available to his friend who was very small) and so he clearly found it more comfortable to sleep on his back (and even to be held on his back, like a baby, and have his tummy tickled). I can only describe the sounds he made as snores |
| patarnone | (reply to Biggles) posted 8-Apr-2005 3:00pm I'm fairly new to rats, got Jay and Silent Bob back in July. So, after 9 months, I'm hooked, big time. |
| kirst | (reply to Amanda) posted 9-Apr-2005 7:36am The vet was great---very gentle and patient. By the time that he arrived, Kitty Cat was semi-conscious. I had been up most of the night checking on her. Anyway, the vet said that Kitty was in renal failure. It took him some time to find a vein that was in decent shape. He had a nice way with her. It was a sad day, but definitely the right time to put her down. |
| kirst | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 9-Apr-2005 7:37am Thanks. |
| kirst | (reply to CarolL) posted 9-Apr-2005 7:38am It was definitely Kitty Cat's time to go. It was still difficult to make that decision, though. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to kirst) posted 9-Apr-2005 1:53pm You're welcome. |
| bcollins | posted 9-Apr-2005 6:40pm I've only owned goldfish and guppies and I don't think they are capable of snoring. |
| Amanda | (reply to kirst) posted 9-Apr-2005 7:00pm (((((Kirst))))) I'm glad that it wasn't a totally horrible experience for you. It sounds like this vet is an awesome person, someone who truly cares about animals. That's so great. |
| Biggles | (reply to patarnone) posted 10-Apr-2005 1:01pm I haven't had rats for a little over a year now and I really miss them. My brothers and I are all on the verge of moving out and my mum (who loves rats) wants a few years grace for her and my dad to go off places without needing to find a rat-sitter (although our next door neighbour has always been happy to do it) at short notice. I think she'll fold after a bit though, and I'm pretty sure I'll want rats again as soon as I have a place of my own where pets are allowed. |
| autumnlight | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 10-Apr-2005 1:10pm I used to love having her around when I was alone - she used to know I wanted company and jump on my knee and lie on her back so I could stroke her belly, then flop and snore. Now I've moved out of home I miss her so much! |
| patarnone | (reply to Biggles) posted 10-Apr-2005 2:58pm For me, all it took was one (little 3 legged Jay) then with my love rat, Bob, I got double hooked. Bob is my main "squish" Now that he's older (10 months) he's right on me all the time, a white rattie asleep in the crook of my arm , all tired out from play, looks SO cute with my red fuzzy top. Rats have both dog and cat like traits, I'm all the time amazed at their antics. |
| Biggles | (reply to patarnone) posted 10-Apr-2005 3:02pm Aww, I miss my ratties |
| patarnone | (reply to Biggles) posted 10-Apr-2005 3:15pm http://www.patarnone.photosite.com/
might make you homesick I got them a super nice Martin's cage, but they still prefer the 5 drawer dresser, Rat Towers. It's totally theirs now... thank God it wasn't a hostile takeover! The $72 Martin's R-670 is the 5 star restaurant. Love my little guys! |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to autumnlight) posted 10-Apr-2005 3:35pm Our kitty never does that. She doesn't like to be held or be on anyone's lap, but she does like having her belly scratched and between her ears too. |
| JessicaWoman99 | posted 10-Apr-2005 6:46pm My cat she snores at night and my gerbils they snore as well so the answer is yes my pets do snore? |
| Biggles | (reply to patarnone) posted 11-Apr-2005 10:15am So sweet |
| patarnone | (reply to Biggles) posted 11-Apr-2005 2:57pm My PEW is my little genius and lover, too. Jay is too independent, but Bob is really my little guy! |
| autumnlight | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 11-Apr-2005 6:26pm That's so cute, I love the expression on their faces when they are having their belly scratched! It's weird, our cat never liked to be held, then she had kittens. After she had taken care of them and they had gone, she started jumping on people's laps. I think she just wanted someone to clean! |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to autumnlight) posted 12-Apr-2005 9:27am Our cat loves to lick my son's hair. She just keep doing it until he pulls away. I think she thinks he is her kitten and she must groom him. |
| autumnlight | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 13-Apr-2005 8:15am That's what I love about cats - they try to look after you as well. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to autumnlight) posted 13-Apr-2005 6:46pm Yep...our kitty definitely thinks we are her kittens. |
| Locutus | posted 18-Apr-2005 3:11pm Yes, I have a cat that snores |
| starrpickle | posted 19-Apr-2005 3:16pm no but my current dog either has nightmares if thats possible or some type of seizure |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to autumnlight) posted 19-Apr-2005 7:51pm Our kitty has developed a new, and very cute habit. This last weekend my son bought himself new shoes and whenever he takes them off, our kitty has decided that they are the perfect spot for her to lie on when napping...generally with her face stuck down inside one of the shoes. Silly kitty! |
| Matt | posted 20-Apr-2005 2:19pm Yes, both my dogs I had snored a lot. |

| iwish40 | posted 25-Apr-2005 1:57am I used to have a kitten that sucked and kneeded it's tail with it's paws when it was ready to go to sleep..she did this all the way thru adulthood. |
| Enigma | posted 11-May-2005 11:55pm The Sheltie I have now snores. None of the cats I ever owned snored. |
| xxOgirlxxO | posted 16-May-2005 1:30pm all my dogs snore |
| nonamejj18 | posted 14-Jun-2005 4:43pm all three of my dogs snore now. My mom constantly yells at my dad cuz she thinks hes the one snoring |
| cabinfever | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:05am What breed is your cat? |
| cabinfever | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:17am I know you said that your son's shoes were new, but does he have, um, smelly feet? I have had cats that love shoes, the smellier the better. They loved to push their face into the shoes and purr like they were on catnip.... so strange! |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to cabinfever) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:28am American Domestic Shorthair. |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to cabinfever) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:30am Not really. His feet aren't what I would call stinky...at least I wouldn't consider them stinky. To me, stinky feet are the feet you can smell across the room and his aren't like that. She did it the first day he bought the shoes too and he had scarcely worn them. She's an odd little girl. |
| cabinfever | (reply to darkshadowsseeker) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:34am The other thing would be that since they are a new thing in "her" territory she is marking them as hers... |
| darkshadowsseeker | (reply to cabinfever) posted 5-Nov-2005 12:45am Well, they are her shoes, just as the chairs and loveseat in the living room and my son's bed are her's! |
| RGirl | posted 13-Feb-2006 4:03am They ALL do! Not only that, my min pin has some serious silent but violent gas bombs!
The Shepherd and Lab burp. They will walk right up to you like they want a scratch on their head and burp, then walk away. |
| NOVEMBER | posted 2-Mar-2006 11:26am Yes, my dog. She snores really lound. Sometimes I can't tell if it is the dog snoring or my partner. |
| Anderz | posted 15-May-2006 7:19pm No, but my dad has a bulldog that snores. The whole house shakes, windows rattle... she's about 60 decibels! |
