| bill | posted 17-Dec-2004 6:39am Ontario (Niagara, Ottawa), British Columbia (Vancouver, Whistler), Alberta (Calgary, Banff/Jasper). Oddly enough, I don't think I've been to Quebec, though, I live 3 hours away from it. Some day we'll go to Montreal. We've also talked about going to the Maritimes for vacation some time. |
| Danger | posted 17-Dec-2004 8:21am I have never been to Canada, but if I did go, I'd want to go to Saskatchewan, because it's a funny word. |

| CarolL | posted 17-Dec-2004 1:02pm I live in Ontario and am about 45 minutes from the Quebec border, which was handy in the old days because the drinking age was lower and the bars stayed open later. |

| Iseult | (reply to Maarten) posted 18-Dec-2004 1:11pm Well, my current plan is to go and visit my dad's uncle, who lives in Schleswick-Holstein (sp?), in the summer, and as if I can remember, that's not that far from the Netherlands (at least not by Toronto standards). Now, I know that EVERY year when I was supposed to go to Europe something came up, but I'm praying that this year it will be different. Like, this Chritmas break I was supposed to visit my uncle in London, but his *27*-year-old girlfriend (he's around 50) is pregnant so they can't take me in. |
| Iseult | (reply to they) posted 18-Dec-2004 1:12pm sings: Ontario, place you know and love.
I remember you telling me your bad experience with Ontario. Try Atlantic Canada (one day when you retire - it's very peaceful there) since people there are much nicer and more relaxed. |
| Maarten | (reply to Iseult) posted 18-Dec-2004 1:32pm As soon as you know more about visiting Germany, let me know. Hopefully we can work something out! In June we'll be in the Czech Republic. Other than that we have no plans yet for the summer. |
| Iseult | (reply to Maarten) posted 18-Dec-2004 3:25pm Czech Republic should be really pretty. I've never been there, but I was in Bratislava for few days when I was young. |
| MacGregor | posted 18-Dec-2004 9:36pm Just Ontario, but I'd like to visit the others, esp. Quebec |

Do you feel weird? Doesn't it bother you you never left the States? Please don't get insulted that I'm asking this, I'm just curious. |
| Iseult | (reply to Lahdee) posted 9-Jan-2005 11:09pm How's Yukon? |
| Lahdee | (reply to Iseult) posted 10-Jan-2005 8:26am I really cant remember much about it, except all the curvy hilly roads. lol |
| ElvisFan67 | (reply to Iseult) posted 11-Jan-2005 10:14pm Well, I live in Virginia, so it's not really that far away just looking at it on a map when you compare it to other parts of the Continental U.S. However it's still many miles away.
And no, it doesn't bother me at all. But I would like to go the other way (Mexico) to see what that's like. |

Actually, The Yukon isn't technically on the west coast. It's just pretty hard to travel up the coast to Alaska by land, without passing through...
