Is a photo of a woman's breasts art or pornography?

Neither...they are just breasts.

Either. It depends. Pornography is a human concept... pornography is something we bring to the photograph, rarely an intrinsic property of it. What may be pornography to you may not be pornography to me. It depends upon the intent of the photographer and the way that the viewer views the photograph.

I think it's fair to say that many perhaps most heterosexual men would be aroused by such a picture. So, you tell me.

i'd have to actually see the photo. i wouldn't necessarily call it porn, but a picture of boobs could be just that...a picture of boobs. it may not be art either.

i don't know how to describe it, exactly, but i'll give it a go. ok, if someone whips out their camera phone and takes a picture of me flashing my ta-ta's, then that's just a picture...not porn, but not art, either. i guess i'm thinking more along the lines of artful photography...be it bad boobies or nice ones.

Depends on the lighting, the breasts, the colour, the angle etc... Some pictures may be art and others... well, may be many other things...

It could be an artful picture of the breasts of an African tribe's woman which hang down her belly as flat as pancakes. Beauty comes in many forms...

What does the photo say? I say more often than not in the modern day that it's porn, unless it's done with taste. Bettie Page had an interesting balance of the two, some were very artistic, and other poses that she did were quite sexual. Sensual is artistic, sexy is porno.

Legally for it to be porn it has to have something to do with sex. Just a picture of breasts has nothing to do with sex.

It could be either. It depends on how it is presented. If I saw a framed photo in a gallery, it wouldn't occur to me to consider it to be anything but "Art". If I saw the exact same picture in a skin mag, it wouldn't occur to me to consider it to be anything but "Pornography".

Both, depending on the context its presented in. Also, the composition infers the photographer's intent, whether it be a natural study or an object of arousal. It also depends on the viewer's tastes. Some would never see the art, others would never see it as porn. For me, it'd simultaneously be both, as I could appreciate it and be aroused by it.
