If you had a chance to go on a vacation to a foreign country for free, would you go?

This would be a free vacation. Everything is free, Hotel, meals, and transportation, except for when you buy gifts, and souvenirs.

it would really seriously depend as to WHERE this "free" trip was to

Unquestionably, anywhere.

Depends on the country and the accommodations...personally I'd rather pay as I would have freedom of choice.

Free, as in free of dodgy ties as well as money? Provided it were at a time when I could realistically go (ie. not during term) and I didn't have any reason not to accept such a thing from whoever was offering it, then sure. This is sounding a lot like the Christmas card metaphor for "accepting Jesus" - maybe that's just because I only slept for an hour last night and have been discussing Christianity all evening....I should go to bed.

Yes, but it would depend on the country. I wouldn't want to vacation in beautiful downtown Baghdad for example.

Of course! I think I will start with the UK. I want to visit Biggles and Dino. I also want to go to Ireland, especially the Irish Sea, County Cork (where my great grandparents came from), and Dublin.

I also want to go to Canada, and visit Jemmy, Zang, and the Edmonton Mall. And lots of other countries! Vatican City, Australia, France, Italy, Japan.

There are countries where I would not go. But otherwise - what a question! Of course.

I haven't gone on a vacation in over 20 years. It would depend upon where the vacation was. I don't have a major desire to be out of the U.S.

Of course. The difficult question is, where would I go? I want to go everywhere, I want to see everything and experience different cultures...but right now I'm stuck in school reading about them.

hell yes! don't even need to think about that one! i think i'd go to japan, just because it's so different than here. i'd also be able to get more inspiration for hair color techniques...i've been doing some "animae-inspired" hair coloring at work lately and it's been really fun.

Call me anal... but you can't have anything for free. You can have something for a dollar. Putting the word for in front of free designates free as an amount. Which it is not. If you could go to a foreign country free, would you go? Like I said. I'm anal. * smile *

I would love to go to a foreign country as long as I could choose the country. My soon-to-be husband and I are part Sicilian, so we sometimes wish we could travel to Italy and visit the island too! Though there are some other countries outside the US that we would love to travel to for vacation.
