| Galomorro | posted 8-Nov-2004 9:36am Yesterday. My next-door neighbor. He cooks well and looks good in his clothes and without. |
| cerealkiller | posted 8-Nov-2004 11:45am I don't remember. I have a hard time doing this. It was a stretch for me when I managed a 40 person engineering department to compliment people. It was artificial, something not in my normal personality. |
| Enheduanna | posted 8-Nov-2004 12:49pm Saturday, although she hasn't read it yet. |
| Biggles | posted 8-Nov-2004 12:51pm Today. We were doing a practical that involved handling chicks (awwwwwwww!) and carrying quite a lot of them back and forth across the lab. One of the students I was working with really didn't like them, a slight phobia I think, but by the end of the session she was making herself carry them. I was very impressed and said so. |
| jettles | posted 8-Nov-2004 1:21pm yesterday. i always give people i work with sincere compliments during the day! |
| Maarten | posted 8-Nov-2004 3:37pm Today. My wife's new haircut is pretty cool. She looks younger! |
| southernyankee | posted 8-Nov-2004 5:54pm about last week, I told one of my friends who is aspires to be a businessman/con-artist sort of thing but doesnt really know what he is talking about "yeah, great idea genious."
oh wait, you meant sincere. Opps, my bad. Never mind. |
| lily333 | posted 8-Nov-2004 8:05pm Today I complimented my daughter about how nice her hair looked. |

| Iseult | (reply to Irene007) posted 8-Nov-2004 11:35pm I have question about Mon-reh-ahl & Quebec. On the 14 I'll be flying back to Trono, and I'll be changing planes at Trudeau airport. Anyway, I was just wondering what is the smoking age and how much are cigs. |
| Irene007 | (reply to Iseult) posted 9-Nov-2004 12:31am Really? If you have a couple of hours and it's at an accessible time; maybe I could keep you company!
Don't worry... You won't need me anyway to buy smokes or beer! 18 here - remember? |
| Iseult | (reply to Irene007) posted 9-Nov-2004 2:36am I don't think I'll be there longer than fourty mins. How much is a king size pack? |
| Irene007 | (reply to Iseult) posted 9-Nov-2004 7:28am Depends on the brand; it's a new thing now... Cig companies have some brands on special like; Matinee Extra Light and Peter Jackson so the prices vary from $6 and change to $8 and change. I bet it'll be more at the airport... |
| Zang | posted 9-Nov-2004 11:17am Friday, if not more recently. I was sucking up to my boss! |
| Iseult | (reply to Irene007) posted 9-Nov-2004 3:05pm How much is a king size Rothmans opposed to king size... Smoking or Number 7? |
| Irene007 | (reply to Iseult) posted 9-Nov-2004 7:17pm I don't know - I'd have to ask because no one sells them quite at the same price. PetroCanada are the rip-off artists, stay away from them! It can be anywhere between 6-8 dollars, depending on where you go. Are you that strapped for money that a couple of dollars makes a difference? And are you smoking that crap called Rothman's? DON'T do that! They're the worst - make you cough because of their stupid filters... And why the heck did you change your name?!? |
| caviartaste | posted 9-Nov-2004 8:19pm Day before yesterday - was a direct straight up "You look very nice today" compliment....other than that I'm always throwing around small ones...nice this..nice that...so funny..blah, blah blah...etc... |
| Iseult | (reply to Irene007) posted 9-Nov-2004 10:37pm I like my new name. It is also mythological, but it's Arthurian. I always wanted to change it to a name of a siren, but I realized I could not spell it.
I'm not going to buy only one pack, but rather as much as I can carry. See, I was supposed to go to Europe this winter, but since my mum is not feeling well and staying in Ontario, I'll stay, too. And my dad got all excited and gave me a list of things to get for him in Europe. The list pretty much consisted of 'Rothmans' red. I, on the other hand, smoke (well not anymore) Dunhill. |
| thresholdking | posted 9-Nov-2004 11:49pm I compliment people on a daily basis, helps keeps their chin up. |
| Irene007 | (reply to Iseult) posted 10-Nov-2004 7:50am My God! They still make Dunhills?
What's up with your Mom? I hope you find her feeling well when you visit at Christmas time... |
| Iseult | (reply to Irene007) posted 10-Nov-2004 5:44pm Thanks.
Of course they still make Dunhills. |
| Irene007 | (reply to Iseult) posted 10-Nov-2004 6:16pm I don't smoke 'em! Never did but always thought that the packaging was nice! Classy. |
| gambler | posted 11-Nov-2004 7:47pm Today............. My wife.........." You know, you have a great ass" |
| LuridHope | posted 12-Nov-2004 5:12pm If I had a nickle for every compliment I would be rich,
but i would still be lonely so whats the point!? |
| they | posted 13-Nov-2004 5:15am Probably yesterday.. to my daughter. |
| Biggles | (reply to LuridHope) posted 13-Nov-2004 1:16pm Are compliments genuine if they're being given in the hope of something in return? |
| LuridHope | (reply to Biggles) posted 14-Nov-2004 9:19pm I meant, compliments people give ME! I am always sincearly encouraging people. |
