| cpierson | posted 9-Apr-1999 9:50am At least, not that I know of. |
| presti | posted 9-Apr-1999 11:11am I sure do and I wish he'd be in there for life, unfortunately he's up for parole in the next few years. Funny how the all become "reborn" when they're in the slammer. BS! |
| milktree | posted 9-Apr-1999 11:56am I know someone who knows someone who is, though. |
| hunter | posted 9-Apr-1999 12:41pm She's imprisoned in Peru on a life sentence for terrorism and treason handed down by a hooded tribunal of military judges in a trial that violated every common definition of "justice." She is suffering terribly. Whenever I start feeling like I've got problems, I think of Lori Berenson and my life seems downright idyllic. |
| steve | posted 9-Apr-1999 2:42pm I said "no", and then I read Hunter's comment. I'd forgotten. How sad, and yet how despicable. Now I hate myself. (Don't worry; it'll pass.) |
| North79 | posted 9-Apr-1999 5:08pm Two guys from junior high, for multiple break and enters. |
| jettles | posted 9-Apr-1999 6:28pm first i clicked on no and then i realized that i do, a relative is now in prison/detention. |
| mandy | posted 9-Apr-1999 9:46pm Yes I do....for first degree murder...He is in for life..... |
| they | posted 9-Apr-1999 10:32pm No, I don't... I grew up with a kid that just got out of prison, or so I heard.. He was doing time for stealing a semi truck. A good friend of mine was also acquainted with a man that was accused of molesting a child in a department store bathroom and is currently serving time (and, I might add, is being beaten senseless by the guards daily :)) |
| Frostbrand | posted 9-Apr-1999 10:53pm I know people who SHOULD be in prison. |
| Mandy2 | posted 11-Apr-1999 1:22pm I know a couple of people in prison. My uncle and some kids from my school. One of them robbed the Dunkin Donuts then murdered one of the employees then burned the place down. She's only 16 and doing life... |
| bill | posted 11-Apr-1999 1:32pm Doin life for robbing a donut shop... (and it wasn't even Krispy Kremes) |
| magbast | posted 11-Apr-1999 2:59pm well i did...my uncle just got out... |
| grmbrand | posted 12-Apr-1999 11:56am ...but if you'd asked me that in high school, the answer would have been "yes". |
| eris | posted 12-Apr-1999 7:36pm What Hunter said. We heard recently that some mutual friends had actually been allowed to see and visit with her (for the first time in three years, possibly by mistake). |
| anonymous | posted 12-Apr-1999 11:16pm I am not sure. A friend (that I have not been in contact with for several years) is constantly in and out of prison and rehab (heroin). |
| drdt | posted 13-Apr-1999 8:00am But my brother was in for a while a few years ago. |
| seth | posted 4-May-1999 5:05am Not that I know of, but I haven't kept in touch with everyone I know. |
| SueBee | posted 8-May-1999 9:02pm The brother of a friend, but I didn't meet him until after he was in prison. I guess that counts. |
| Wicksy | posted 7-Jul-1999 8:43am nope |
