Yes, once when I was a teenager, but that was eons ago! It was one of the very crude, early waterbeds before they had heaters and basically wasn't much more than a big plastic bag filled with water. It belonged to a school friend and I slept on it during a sleepover. We kept rolling into each other all night long because of the sloshiness, constantly bumping into and waking each other up. Neither of us got much sleep that night. * frown * I understand waterbeds are much better now, but I've never had an opportunity to try a new model out. I wouldn't mind trying one because they are supposed to be more supportive than regular mattresses as they conform more to your body. That would probably help with my back pain that I get if I roll over on my back while sleeping.

I used to go out with a woman who had a waterbed for the first year or so that we were together. I can't say that I cared much for it. Okay, initially having sex on a waterbed was kind of an interesting experience...I mostly didn't like it for sleeping and as far as the sex went, eventually the novelty wore off. We found other ways to spice things up though... * smile *

Yes. It's kind of annoying if you're on it with someone else, because you roll around every time they move.

Yes. I've slept in several. The best one was waveless and heated. The flip flopping motion was cut down quite a bit and the heat was great on a cold winter night. The worst one I slept in was not waveless and did not have a heater. It was like sleeping on a rubber raft in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. No matter how many blankets you put underneath you, the cold seemed to seep right through. Brrrr!

No, and although I would like to have a go sitting on one - I don't think I would relish sleeping on one.

I like to feel stable when I sleep.

sort of... I shared a small/twin soft-sided water bed with a girlfriend in college. It has foam around the edges and things were tight so I was mostly on the edge, fairly uncomfortable. But, I was otherwise distracted, so I didn't care that much.

No, I don't think so. I've been on one, but can't remember if I ever slept on it or was just testing it out.

Do they even sell waterbeds anymore? All of the ones I've seen are from the 70's
or 80's. All of the commercias/ads for beds these days are for regular mattress beds, Select Comfort beds, Craftmatic adjustable beds, Tempure-pedic or Sleep Number beds.

Yes, I used to have one before I got married. Just before I moved it sprang a leak. Good timing, because I didn't need it anymore anyway.
