SC Secret Santa Christmas Gift Exchange for Everyone!

Nobody should be left out of the secret santa gift exchange (see http://surveycentral.org/survey/19675.html), so to alleviate the burden on CarolL (who was kind enough to organize the gift exchange), I plan to match up those who for whatever reason cannot send a gift with those who would like to send these people a gift anyway. What do you think? If you're in, send an email to "braintingle at yahoo dot com" (use common sense to type it out as it should appear).

I'm willing to send an Oregon postcard to whomever would like one. I've already shared a taste of Oregon with some of the users at SC. I generally don't give out presents with the exception of those to my son and my nieces. This is because I try to downplay the commercialization of Christmas as much as possible and try to keep gift giving within my immediate family. Even my sister and don't exchange presents by mutual agreement.

This is a lovely idea, but I am on a much tighter than usual budget this term. I know that I could handmake a gift but my free time is in short supply too! I hope enough people sign up to do this. If not, then I will reconsider.

I'm partaking in the other gift exchange, and I think one's my limit.

Between that and the "Vote for Bush if you want to live" bumperstickers I think I've seen enough mock hostility laytely. I'll stick to the good old fashioned real hostility. * evil smile *

But there are those of us who live giving more than receiving...it would be sent to you because it is what they want to do not because they are expecting anything in return.

Ah, the life of a paranoid electronic ascetic. Free gifts are all the rage but if I give you my address well then the scary people will get me. So instead I bid all good tidings, a happy New Year, merry Christmas, joyous Chanukah, and a wonderful whatever holiday you happen to celebrate.
