i say no, but it depends on what (if any) religion you follow. i had some friends that were 'catholic' and didn't have sex before they got married (they weren't virgins, though). anyway, they did EVERYTHING but sex, and it made me wonder, "so penetration before marriage is wrong but 69 is ok?"

I think that it would be okay for me, but at the same time, for some people it would be immoral. It all just depends on what a person's morals are.

technically as a recovering catholic..yes, still after 10 yrs I'm trying to recover, any waste of the seed or some such archaic wording, is a sin * laughing out loud * No masturbation, and no 69, though I do like Bills response better though

As a matter that is strictly a personal issue, it is not anyones right to judge you, or set your moral ideals. But since you asked I will give you my perspective about your question.

First of all you already have made your commitment with your mate-to-be in the form of a promise to marry by accepting his proposal. The only moral issue that could be made would be based on your promiscuity. Any committed relationship you have, is between the two of you. Now if you have guilt, you should examine you true motives and sincerity. Be honest to yourself. Remember that you are the only one that needs to approve what you do to, or with your body. Although you should show respect to others and be discrete. In society today marriage is not what it used to be and religion does not have the power over it congregation that it did. People marry and divorce like buying a car. So being married is not the issue. Commitment, and honesty is what is important. Follow your heart, and your soul and you will be OK. It is your life and you need to find your happiness, it can be as elusive as the wind. So when you have it in your grasp dont let it get loose. Love is one of those things that is pure and any act done in love is also pure. I do not think this questions replies can be mathematically tallied to provide you with a "correct answer" you are asking the wrong people, ask yourself you will know.

Good luck and may you find true and lasting happiness.

Yeah... 1983. I had no TV, videos didn't exist and I had no money to go to the theater but I did hear of it!! I still haven't seen it and unless I go to the exclusive "Boîte Noire" in Montreal (which has a collection of old and rare films) because I won't find it in my local French community video store - I'm not likely to see it! * frown * I liked Monty Python movies when I saw them...

Really? They don't have it?!?!?! Quite common here in the US (well, where I am at least) All of the decent sized retail stores have them, but I will see what I can do for you. I have it on tape, so all I have to do is find another VCR * wink * Oh wait, that would be pirating and that's illegal * shock *

So? Isn't all this copy and pasting done in Forum illegal as well - it's called "plagiarism". Bill better go hide! * grin *

I have a movie called "Quebec Montreal" in my local video store; don't you? * raspberry *

Seriously, it's a very funny Quebecois movie about different people making the trip from Quebec city to Montreal for different reasons. One scene is of a couple moving because of the woman's new job but the husband is not happy about it, another scene are 3 guys that are taking a flight out of Montreal for a trip to Cuba and discover that their friend has hooked back up with his ex-girlfriend that they both boffed, another is a cheating sales rep travelling who hooks up with the unhappy husband and the whole movie takes place during their 2 hour drive to Montreal. It's hilarious! All through the movie, you see this perfect couple in a convertible sports car - a regular Ken and Barbie with not a hair out of place. They never say a word but drive by the other people who are living their difficulties and look out at them like they have the greenest grass! It's really funny! I like that Quebec sense of humour!

Here, check this out - they wrote it much better than I did;

Without reading it, based on your description, it reminds me of the movie 4 rooms where a hotel attendant bounces around 4 rooms (surprised?) answering their calls. They took four different directors, to direct all the individual rooms.

Without checking your post - wasn't that a Tarantino movie?

Yep... I was right! I liked that movie but it was just that usual Tanrantino weird stuff. This QC movie is more subtle and has no blood. Then again, it wouldn't be a Tarantino if there was no blood huh?

We 're engaged non-officially. We've discussed getting married to eachother and he asked me if I wanted to marry him a few months ago - we consider ourselves engaged - but we havent told our families yet - so we're not officially engaged. We want to get married in two years , so we're not close to setting a date yet! But thanks for the congrats! * smile *

I think sex before marriage is a good thing. Sex is one of the big reasons for problems in a marriage. It is good to make sure you are compatible before you promise your life to someone.

Some may think it's immoral, but I couldn't tell you the name of 1 person who did actually wait until they were married to have sex. I was 3 months pregnant when I walked down the aisle, but I was engaged a few weeks before I found out I was expecting.

Well, it's the 21st century. I personally think it is but I also believe that over half of engaged couples have already done it before taking their vows. Then there are even couples that just get married because they have a child outside of wedlock. So, even though I think it's not moral, more people than I probably don't care too much about that.
