I used to have one, but I really think I'm too old for that kind of thing now.

I would think that with any more than one that a person would spend all their time writing.

well, you also have to consider the different purposes the blogs can serve. Someone may have a blog just for his pollitcal opinions, and another one for his personal life. Or maybe he has some online project he invented and uses the blog for that.

Tis true, I just go by what my mom always said to my sister about her diary...
"If you don't want the world to read it, then don't write it"
...so naturally I'm biased towards them

some of them are password protected, where only you or your close friends can read it. then again, these days we also have hackers. But I doubt you'd have some hacker trying to break into some teenage girl's diary (unless he's a stalker or something).

I used to religiously write in an online diary (and did every day for about 4 years) and quite explicitly as well. Then I got a boyfriend and didnt like the idea of me writing that plainly about personal things so I locked that one and have given up on it altogether really. I'm starting up a tamer one though on livejournal.

SC is as close to a blog as I'm going to get. Obviously I don't use it to record my day to day goings on (I wouldn't do that anyway), but it records my various rants and moments of inspiration.
