I've heard of many, but I only like a couple of those. Rush makes me sick to my stomach.

I would probably be smited in to non-existence by my sister if I didn't tick Jethro Tull. She used to listen to them all the time.

I recognize ELO, ELP, JT, PF, Q and Supertramp as music groups. I couldn't tell you the name of a single song by any of them. I would guess they are rock groups from the 70s. I vaguely recall hearing songs from a couple of them when I was in college.

Asia, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Queen, and Styx are all bands I've heard of. Bands that I know, on the other hand, don't include Asia, Genesis, and Kansas.

I don't really listen to the radio, so pretty much the only way I hear about new music is if a friend plays it for me. So I have very little sense of what is a big hit.

Well, then I'm a little surprised I don't know it, too! I listened to the radio lots in the 80s. Although I listened mostly to alternative stations.
