| darkshadowsseeker | posted 7-Sep-2004 9:54pm Don't know & don't care! |
| LuridHope | posted 7-Sep-2004 9:56pm It's possible. I imagine it would add to the already exciting spirit of competition. |
| southernyankee | posted 7-Sep-2004 10:10pm man, I havent really thought about that. A much better question would be; would as many people go see college games if they didnt. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 7-Sep-2004 10:56pm I don't really know.
*whispers* I think the cheerleaders keep the guys going to the games! |
| bill | posted 7-Sep-2004 11:47pm In general, I dislike marching bands. |
| Enheduanna | posted 8-Sep-2004 1:03am Don't care. |
| kaleb777 | posted 8-Sep-2004 1:47am Maybe if there were nude cheerleaders who showed their pink bits on the big screen. |
| JB98 | posted 8-Sep-2004 1:55am I think the NFL sells out practically every game in practically every city regardless of the lack of marching bands. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 8-Sep-2004 7:08am NO, I hate that idea! Marching Bands are for College teams only. |
| ROCKMAN | (reply to ElvisFan67) posted 8-Sep-2004 7:14am > I don't really know.
> > *whispers* I think the cheerleaders keep > the guys going to the games! I know 4 or 5 of the Chiefs cheerleaders. All great gals! |
| Biggles | posted 8-Sep-2004 7:56am People surely don't go to NFL games for music... |
| gambler | posted 8-Sep-2004 8:44am I don't know |
| Zang | posted 8-Sep-2004 10:08am I don't know. I'd have to look at the box-office receipts, for the teams with bands, before and after, to get an idea. |
| moonstone | posted 8-Sep-2004 11:22am dunno |
| moonstone | posted 8-Sep-2004 11:22am dunno |
| Danger | posted 8-Sep-2004 12:47pm Not really. I think people go to games to see the football, not the marching band. |
| cerealkiller | posted 8-Sep-2004 12:50pm Don't know, don't care. Besides, even if I watched sports, which I don't, it is much better right at home in front of the tube. Why spend over a hundred dollars to waste a whole day to go somewhere you can't even see what is going on anyways? That goes for all sports. |
| ElvisFan67 | (reply to ROCKMAN) posted 8-Sep-2004 12:53pm Wow! Lucky you! Have you ever dated any of them? |
| Glassa | posted 8-Sep-2004 1:19pm I wouldn't think so. People go to the game for the game, not to see marching bands. Otherwise there would be a National Marching Band League with the Trombone player making $20 Million a year. |
| thevelvetcure | posted 8-Sep-2004 10:05pm I wouldn't think so, but thanks for the useless info. I think I may try to catch a Ravens game just to see how similar it is to a high school marching band |
| ROCKMAN | (reply to ElvisFan67) posted 9-Sep-2004 7:16am No, never have! My girl friend was a cheerleader in high school though. |
| Dino | posted 9-Sep-2004 4:46pm No, I don't think they give a damn |
| ElvisFan67 | (reply to ROCKMAN) posted 9-Sep-2004 7:51pm Well to me, that's just as good. |
| uible | posted 10-Sep-2004 7:23pm I don't know. I also don't care. I doubt it. |
| moviesnob | posted 10-Sep-2004 8:08pm I don't know, but I think it's a good idea. Although I feel any extra revenue it may bring in would not cover the cost of having a band. |
| SueBee | posted 11-Sep-2004 7:49pm I doubt it, but I'd sure like to see it! I wouldn't go to games, but I might watch halftime shows on TV. |
| EyesOfCharisma | posted 25-Sep-2004 11:10am I am not a big fan of marching bands. |
| stevehrl | posted 4-Oct-2004 3:29pm Being a member of the esteemed Marching Ravens, I can't really say if we make a difference at the box office. However, we do change the fan experience, and have had nothing but positive feedback from Ravens ownership and other fans about the fun we add to the gameday. To the one responder who commented about every game selling out anyway, that's not always true. There are lots of teams who don't sell out every home game, but you're right, I don't think a band would put any more seats in the seats, so to speak. But for the people who are there, they'd have a lot more fun, especially if it was a boring game. |
| RGirl | posted 14-Feb-2006 11:10pm No, but I think marching bands are cool. |
| eloradanan | posted 3-Jun-2006 10:12pm I don't know & I don't care. |
