Since it can start raining without much warning in Oregon, I have a small, expandable umbrella in my purse at all times. I also own regular size umbrellas as well. |

I only have a pocket one - I've never had one that doesn't fold right down. Apart from when I was teeny, but that was a little umbrella anyway. |

I have at least 3-4 umbrellas (not with me, but at my home) at any given time so that I always have a backup for loss or breakage. |

Yes, I own a plain black umbrella with a hooked handle and a bright red plaid umbrella with a wooden handle. Both are smaller sized collapsable type. I love my red umbrella - it cheers me up on rainy days. |

I don't know. We probably have one sitting by the hall tree as a decoration. Must be at least 20 years since I've used one, or needed one for that matter. It only sprinkles here when it does rain, and that is only a once or twice a month from November through March. |

No, never have. Do not like them -- my arm gets tired; the wind blows 'em around too much; one then only has one available arm for carrying stuff; and they're lethal weapons on the sidewalk -- one has to dodge and duck the things. I prefer raincoats with hoods, even though the rain tends to blow under the hood -- still more comfortable to me than trying to hold onto an umbrella. |

No, I seem to have left it somewhere. To replace it, I bought a raincoat instead. It has to be REALLY raining for me to use one of these things. |

Don't use it much though! Weather in my part of the world is hardly short of perfect. Oh, okay, sometimes it gets a little hot in summer, but then there is the beach, or air-conditioning.  |

I own two... a small compact one, and a really large one. People in Washington state have umbrellas the way people in Texas have air conditioning. I should post some pictures I took of my flooded driveway from when it rained 3 inches in one day a couple weeks ago. |

Wow so smart. To think about this, I have never ever owned an umbrella in my life.
I guess it's because I have a transportation and don't need to walk anywhere..
