How many people in your life are important or close enough to you that you would die to save their life, without even thinking about it?

My parents, my brother, and my girlfriend. Anyone else I'd hesitate for sure..and for some stranger I probably wouldn't volunteer..

My mother and my husband. If I get to hesitate for a second and think about it, I might add another 2-3 people.

Given no time to think, I expect that I, like many people, would instinctively try to save another person before noticing that the act would end up killing me in their place. But in a situation where I had a chance to evaluate the situation, no one comes to mind.

I would never do this for anyone without a second thought and I hope no one would do it for me. This is your life we're talking about here, think about it before you throw it away!

My daughter is the only person that I love so unconditionally that I would give up my life with no thought. My wife would require a second thought. She doesn't like this answer, but it's true.

Four people... As I have said before, if there is an animal on the road, I will swerve off the road to miss it... So I guess I can say any animal... but only four people.

I have no way to judge this. I have never been in any sort of situation like this,so I'm not sure what I would do, for one thing, and it's really hard for me to guess what I would be thinking when I did it. I think the answer is either 0 or 2 or More than 2. Either I would think twice about it for anyone, I would think twice about it for anyone but 2 very special people, or I would not think twice about it for any of a number of people. 3-9 is unlikely.

It depends on the circumstances. Obviously if I had terminal cancer, I would choose myself to die over my girlfriend, but is she had it, I wouldn't die for them because they would soon be dead as well. I just can't answer this one so I put not sure. Good idea though. put it in a specific situation and then I 'll try and answer it.

aaaahhh, but this is making me think about it, so is it a true measure of what i would do. i think this question is unable to be answered. we can say whatever we please but until that moment comes you can't ever know what will happen!! i have stopped to help people i don't even know in situations i never thought i would, at least twice in the past two years that afterwards i thought about it and didn't know why i had. i think it is more a matter of instinct rather than how close you necessarily are.
if i had to choose i would say my lover, my brother, my dad and my aunt, and 3 close close friends but i would be hoping that i would.

I don't think I can predict my willingness to die to save someone else without actually being in the situation. Don't know, won't ever know.

I would only do it for my fiance, my mom, my li'l brother, my granny and my best friend. I know they would all do it for me.

I never do anything without a second thought.

There are many that I would waste my own life for, because I do not particularly enjoy living, but I would not want to save some craphead's life. People I include would be Morrissey, my sister, my friend Anne and someone I know named Torr Leonard...

Damn, I'm selfish. I think I would die for quite a few people, but it would take a second thought, or a third or fourth. This is strange when I think about it, since I'm not even really enjoying life that much.

My darling mandy and her daughter are the two people I would give my life for without even a fleeting second
thought. There's no doubt in my mind about that, because I wouldn't want to live without them. There are others
(my parents, brother & sister, and my best friend) for whom I would probably risk my life, but maybe not quite
so selflessly. I guess it depends on the circumstances. I would do it for a stranger in some cases...for example, if I
saw a child being mauled by a dog, I'm sure I would intervene without much thought to my own safety.
