| steve | posted 16-Mar-1999 5:43pm 2: the sneakers that I actually wear, and the dress shoes that I wear to weddings. |
| doom | posted 16-Mar-1999 5:47pm Not sure but probably around 12 or more. |
| Nyssa | posted 16-Mar-1999 5:58pm I have two pairs I wear for daily wear (pumps for work, sneakers for home) but then I also have hiking boots, biking sneakers, motorcycling boots, and other specialty-wear items that are only for certain circumstances. |
| daver | posted 16-Mar-1999 5:58pm Hmmm...I have two pairs of boots that I wear, two pairs that I don't, two pairs of sneakers, three pairs of dress shoes, a pair of loafers, duck boots, pac boots, birkenstocks, rope sandals, and my gillies. That's a lot more footwear than I initially thought I owned. |
| romkey | posted 16-Mar-1999 6:21pm two pairs of boots, two pairs of slippers, two pairs of sneakers and one pair of berkies |
| they | posted 16-Mar-1999 8:21pm Not too many, but the collection has grown a bit over the past year or so... I have 2 pairs of dress shoes, 3 pairs of Combat Boots, and one pair of Converse low tops. :)... I am a sock fanatic.. I have an unbelievable collection of mismatched socks. The tackier the better :). |
| hunter | posted 16-Mar-1999 11:50pm Here we go...I have three pairs of black flats in varying states of presentability, cordovan leather lace-up boots, two pairs of slippers (one w/soles, one w/o that came w/a bathrobe), old sneakers for use in painting, plain black suede flats (too small for me, should take to Goodwill), black suede flats w/a tassle, blue suede clogs, white brocade lace-up boots, 1" heeled black suede lace-up boots, flat black suede lace-up boots, 3" heeled black suede romeo boots, black suede steel-toed work boots, black leather work boots, brown suede clogs (that I really should get rid of cuz they reek), black boiled wool clogs (that I've never worn, because I'm trying to figure out how to wear clogs without my feet sweating so much that they end up reeking very quickly), brown leather Reebok high tops, blue Birkenstocks (which someone left at a party and they happen to fit me *perfectly* and be already broken in), two pairs of brown flats in varying states of presentability, tan sandals, black sandals, beige ked-like sneakers (which I never wear) and black ked-like sneakers (ditto--I have a treadmill I don't use and both of these were for that), black suede mocassin booties, blue flats, tan cloth dress shoes (hard to describe, they go with my emergency wedding wear), white espadrilles, black 4" wedge-heeled sandals, purple corduroy pumps, black leather 1.5" pumps, black leather 1.5" pumps (too small for me, should take to Goodwill), blue mesh flats, black suede 2" heeled pumps, black suede 3" heeled pumps, blue brocade pumps, black satin strappy-ass heels, cream colored flats (never wear--thought they'd fit into my wardrobe, but don't), gold flats (to go with the gold silk lounging pajamas), Pakistani genie shoes (leather w/gold inlay and mirrors--they were a gift). I *think* that's it. I miss having cowboy boots and will probably buy some again at some point. And I miss having denim blue suede loafers or lace-ups, so I'll probably buy a pair of those soon. Not counting those, I think that's around 40. Yay, shoes! |
| bill | posted 17-Mar-1999 8:34am sneakers, old sneakers, boots, old boots, Sandals (Tevas), old sandals (Birkenstocks), slippers, Bass slip-ons, Bruno Magli's (OJ's brand!) ...and, I wish I could count my ski boots and rollerbades too! |
| they | posted 17-Mar-1999 9:26am I forgot... I have a pair of Hiking Boots. |
| supplicant | posted 17-Mar-1999 9:52pm Sneakers for super casual and sport and black shoes for business suits etc. That's it :) |
| phi | posted 18-Mar-1999 9:35pm Hmm. Shoes, boots, hiking boots, bike shoes, and slippers. I think that's it. 5-10 is quite a range; I bet more than half the respondents choose it. |
| phi | posted 18-Mar-1999 9:39pm Oh right, my tevas. I wonder where those have got to? Hunter, I am impressed. Not at how many shoes you have, but how familiar you are with your wardrobe. |
| hunter | posted 18-Mar-1999 11:32pm I confess, I had to go look. I'd gotten well over half of them at work, but I knew I was forgetting some and I wanted to be comprehensive. |
| mandy | posted 25-Mar-1999 9:24pm I have a shoe fetish...yet I hate feet...I wonder what that says about me.... |
| pandora | posted 27-Mar-1999 8:32pm 11-20, but I never wear any but two or three pairs. |
| pandora | posted 27-Mar-1999 8:34pm mandy, I wonder too, because I have very similar feelings. |
| mandy | posted 31-Mar-1999 9:08pm Pandora...have we met? *smiles* |
| pandora | posted 3-Apr-1999 11:05am Not that I know of.. |
| Mandy2 | posted 6-Apr-1999 8:15pm I only have one good pair. Two pair for doing dirty work, and 1 pair of dressy shoes. I try not to be to materialistic. Like my cousin. Shoes this, and shoes that. |
| FruityLoOp | posted 7-Apr-1999 1:39pm I had to go and count them.....See...I have this thing with shoes..it's almost like an adiction.... |
| fooyun | posted 8-Apr-1999 4:22pm I've been wearing the same pair of shoes for over a year now. And my last pair before that I wore for over 6 years! |
| godzilla | posted 14-Apr-1999 6:43pm None. |
| madamex | posted 14-Apr-1999 9:27pm I *think* it's fewer than 30, but I might be wrong. I have at least 4 pairs of black pumps alone. (Plain leather, textured leather, patent leather and *serious* stilettos.) A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes! |
