Do you prefer to be touched gently or firmly?

I hate being touched, my first instinct when someone puts their hand on my shoulder is to break their arm.

It depends on the touching involved. I like firm handshakes. I otherwise don't like to be touched by anyone but family. With family it then depends on the situation.

Interesting question. I actually had a boyfriend with whom I was touching-incompatible because he loved *really* hard backrubs, etc. while I usually prefer to be touched gently, and neither of us could get used to the other's proclivities.

I generally like a firm touch as gentle touches can seem passionless (not just in a sexual way) or ticklish (which I'm not really into).

Having a weak massage it worse than no massage at all.

I clicked other.. and firmly.. I generally prefer not to be touched.. but if the situation warrants (i.e. a handshake) then I'd prefer it be firm.

It *so* depends. Hugs and handshakes should be firm. Massages and sexual touches should vary in pressure.

I can't stand firm backrubs, but the other things I like more on the firm side. But it also depends. Sorry, I can't seem to get out of the rambling mode.

my mood alters swiftly and frequently. that greatly influences the type of touching i prefer or will even endure. there are times that i do not like to be touched in any manner.

I like most non-extreme touches, but I tend to prefer firmer. I like very deep massage work, for example.
