| bill | posted 10-Mar-1999 8:26pm I do have some childish traits (I still play a lot), but I'm pretty darn responsible too - so I think I'm grownup and that people think I am as well. |
| Pomeranian | posted 10-Mar-1999 9:56pm All my life I wanted to be a grownup...now that I am one, I think it was worth the wait. |
| supplicant | posted 10-Mar-1999 11:21pm At 13 I thought I was mature enough to be a grownup. At 14 I realised how little I knew and how far I'd come. At 15 I knew a little more. At 16 I looked back on when I was 14 and shuddered at how ignorant I was. At 16 I decided I no longer cared. That is probably when I really grew up. |
| milktree | posted 11-Mar-1999 9:38am I like being a grownup, but I never want to be old. I hope to not be old when I'm 85. |
| milktree | posted 11-Mar-1999 9:39am I didn't feel grownup until I was 25 or so. |
| cpierson | posted 11-Mar-1999 11:04am Having just seen the new trailer for the new Star Wars movie, I've decided being a grownup is for the birds. I'm now 11 again. |
| dpolicar | posted 11-Mar-1999 11:31am yes by some of my own definitions/compared to some of those around me; no for others; I checked both. yes in others' estimations, if there are those who think otherwise they've never shared the opinion with me. I have no idea what my parent(s) think about the subject. Growth is an ongoing process. |
| jettles | posted 11-Mar-1999 2:43pm i don't consider my self grown up and probably will never finish growing up but i think those around me consider me grown up....at least most of the time. |
| robin | posted 11-Mar-1999 5:09pm Part of my definition of being a grownup includes being able to act like a kid if I feel like it. |
| gilly | posted 12-Mar-1999 6:47am It's pretty recent, but at 29, I finally really feel like a grown-up. Not that I don't still have plenty of growing up to do, but I hope that continues as long as I live. |

| anonymous | posted 15-Mar-1999 4:44pm thanks, patty! that's the funniest thing i've seen since my brother accidentally cc:ed me a piece of email talking about this girl he had a crush on who turned out to be a lesbian, and how he had asked if he could watch her having sex with her girlfriend sometime and she had said "yes, but if you do my girlfriend will want to strap on a dildo and fudge you in the ass." |
| anonymous | posted 15-Mar-1999 6:35pm Patty, if you're going to cuss people out, please use correct grammar. |
| steve | posted 15-Mar-1999 8:08pm Patty, that is the least grown-up thing I've seen anyone say around here since Brian left. And boy, is it ever funny when you misspell "grammar". |

| they | posted 16-Mar-1999 2:12pm I think I just started missing Brian. I've been through 30 surveys with new comments because Patty insists on having a fit on every single one of them. Who was it that suggested we should be able to block out certain people's comments? ;) |
| jonathan | posted 16-Mar-1999 2:51pm I'm sorta missing Brian because at least he posted the occasionally interesting survey - flames just don't excite me. I'm wondering if SC requires a scapegoat? |
| bill | posted 16-Mar-1999 2:57pm Off with her head! |
| steve | posted 16-Mar-1999 5:47pm My last comment was out of line and I apologize. |

| kristalynn | posted 22-Mar-1999 6:44pm I'll be a grown up this year but I'll always be immature |
| Mozluvr | posted 27-Mar-1999 7:11pm Literally, by age, I am not, but I am much more mature ("grown-up") than alot of people I know who are, by age, grown-ups... |
| pandora | posted 27-Mar-1999 9:26pm Well, I'm out of school, I have 3 jobs, and I'll be moving out of my parents house shortly (the reason for my three jobs), but I don't know if that's grown-up-ness or not. I don't really care about such labels. I still get Happy meals and watch Disney movies, so it's hard to say. |
| jaff | posted 4-Apr-1999 10:54pm legally, yes. emotionally, never. |
