although there is no synonym listed for this word.....it should have almost every other word in the dictionary listed as its synonyms...for it is the epitomy of synonymity......

Hey, according to the site, "penis" has no synonym, despite being the word with most euphemisms in every language.
OK, seriously. Engraver. A lot of job descriptions work. Come to think of it, a lot of words have no synonym. English is loaded with synonyms, though, so I can see why the survey was made.

My point was that we had to steal the word from the french, having no such word, let alone a synonym for the concept. French and other languages still have words for which we have none, though our language grows much faster now, and increasingly adopts these foreign words - something folks like the French refuse to do while their government preserves their language.

You know - I intended for this survey to be FUN. That is why the word "game" is included in the title. It's a wonder more people like me don't just leave SC when people like you who have been around for a long time respond the way you just did. You need to relax. I have already gathered that you are a very intelligent person and that you study dialects and languages, and music. I appreciate those qualities in you and I think you bring alot of interesting things to the table at SC. You debate very well. This survey however, was just an attempt at a fun game.
Just let yourself relax and have some fun for a minute. If synonyms are too easy for you....how about palindromes? Do you like those? Give us a few of those if you like...but please...just have some fun with it.
