| moviesnob | posted 7-Jun-2004 6:16am Amazed (although overused), I Just Called to Say I Loved You, and Truly, Madly, Deeply if you must have a pop hit. Seeing as "Follow Me" is about cheating, I don't really think it's appropriate, and I don't think "Picture" would rate up there, either. But it's your wedding, so do what you want. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 7-Jun-2004 6:30am I'm not really familiar with any of these. I'd have to hear them first. Then it would be the old ladys choice any way. |

| Jody | posted 7-Jun-2004 9:53am At our wedding, we used the Theme from Linus and Lucy for our exit music. I think the music that the bride should go down the aisle to should be classical and have no lyrics, so they can focus on HER, not the tune. |
| EddieT321 | (reply to justjulie) posted 7-Jun-2004 10:08am I wonderful friend of mine sent me a CD, out of the blue, and I listen to it all the time! So many of those songs, one in particular, would make a heavenly wedding song, as I will marry again. But, like you...I am a fan of Darth Vader. |
| EddieT321 | (reply to ROCKMAN) posted 7-Jun-2004 10:10am Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree has always be a favorite of mine. |
| Enheduanna | posted 7-Jun-2004 10:19am Yuck! I don't like any of these. I guess if I were forced to choose one, I'd go with Unchained Melody, but I'm against using songs with words for this. I'm a big fan of Pachelbel's Canon for the bridal procession. |
| moonstone | posted 7-Jun-2004 12:34pm Ewwww...none of what's listed...

| freebird | (reply to Jody) posted 7-Jun-2004 5:12pm that is so cute and original--How neat. Linus and Lucy music too cute That made me smile |
| freebird | (reply to EddieT321) posted 7-Jun-2004 5:15pm Me too EddieT321, Me too! I like the classical music for weddings? Don't you. The wedding march (classical) unless it's a non-traditional wedding, y'know one of those where the bride doesn't wear white. |

| spidertea | posted 7-Jun-2004 6:17pm When/If I get married I would like someone to sing "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof. Beautiful song. |
| Glassa | posted 7-Jun-2004 10:00pm I had the song "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carlisle played right after my dad walked me down the isle. |

| justjulie | (reply to EddieT321) posted 8-Jun-2004 7:43am let me guess.the song is, "don't let my brown eyes turn blue"? |
| justjulie | (reply to moonstone) posted 8-Jun-2004 7:45am if i could do it over again...that would be the one!! oh...and i'd have bob re-marry us.. |

| moonstone | (reply to justjulie) posted 8-Jun-2004 8:44am No...She didn't...I saw her Sunday at the grad. but I didn't bring it...I'll see her for sure this Friday (taking the kids to "A Day Out With Thomas" up in Green Bay!!)....Sorry I haven't gotten it to her yet... |
| Jody | (reply to freebird) posted 8-Jun-2004 9:33am I'm sure we're not the first people who have used it. My husband's ex-wife got married and her exit music was James Brown's "I Feel Good". I think the exit music is the perfect time to get silly, the tension relief in the room is tangible! |
| freebird | (reply to Jody) posted 8-Jun-2004 10:31am I have never heard of it being used. But do think it is so cute. That was great thinking on your part to use it basically as a tension reliever. That theme music from Peanuts would make me smile on any bad day. See |

| BerrieGrrl | (reply to moonstone) posted 8-Jun-2004 11:05am rock on! that's awesome...i think the darth vader for the walk down the isle, and that for after |
| EddieT321 | (reply to justjulie) posted 8-Jun-2004 11:50am Oh yes, excellent!!! A Crystal Gale classic!!!. I think it is "Don't it make My Brown Eyes Blue"..oh, the memories of a little cafe out in The Rockies where I fell in love! Where I came to life and made decisions that, still, affect me today! |
| EddieT321 | (reply to freebird) posted 8-Jun-2004 11:52am To me, white represents all that is pure in the world. All that is real. All that shines brighter than the brightest star in Heaven!!! |

| justjulie | (reply to EddieT321) posted 8-Jun-2004 2:46pm oh yeah...THAT was the title. my first 'concert' i attended was an eddie rabbit concert (ok don't laugh or threaten to beat me up now..), but he did perform that duet that was originally done w/ crystal gale, what was the name of that....ummmmm....anyhow, he performed it w/ marie osmond that night (ok don't laugh a little cafe in the rockies...sounds familiar, like a good old fashioned love song. |
| MacGregor | posted 8-Jun-2004 6:15pm "Grow Old With You" is cute. That was my sister-in-laws song. Her husband liked it because it was short - he hates to dance! I don't recommend "My Heart Will Go On" - bad connotations of dying partner from Titanic. "I Just Called..." is also weird. Our wedding song was "Sea of Love" by the Honeydrippers. We also liked "Can I Have This Dance" by Anne Murray. That was my parents' song, we we played it right after as the song for everyone to join in. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 8-Jun-2004 8:16pm From this list, the Dixie Cups' "Chapel of Love" is the most appropriate. |

| MssAmericat | posted 9-Jun-2004 12:16am Don't think would pick any of these...I would prefer music without words too for the walk to the alter but I also believe it's "your" wedding so everyone should have it their way!
But if I ever get married again don't think will have any music...just me, the man who would be my husband, the guy marrying us...maybe on the beach, barefoot...let the ocean' waves, gulls... be our music... |
| MssAmericat | (reply to justjulie) posted 9-Jun-2004 12:16am HAHAHA oh my that is too funny!! Thank you for the great laugh!!! |
