| ElvisFan67 | posted 29-May-2004 5:49pm I've always owned automatic. |
| iamdonte | posted 29-May-2004 6:51pm Automatic! I used to have a manual (standard) - it wasn't bad but I missed cruise control! |
| ASB | posted 29-May-2004 7:01pm Automatic but I can drive a stick like a pro. |
| LindaH | posted 29-May-2004 7:22pm Too bad this isn't multi pick. That last option was tempting. |
| they | posted 29-May-2004 7:25pm Automatic.. |
| EddieT321 | posted 29-May-2004 8:17pm Standard shift. My little white corvette still has the beauty and grace in her that has stunned thousands. |
| cerealkiller | posted 29-May-2004 8:46pm Well, my primary GOOD vehicle is the car, which is automatic. But my truck which I put the most miles on is a 5-speed manual. |

| mandy | posted 29-May-2004 9:41pm Manual |
| BerrieGrrl | posted 29-May-2004 10:09pm the one i drive the most is automatic. my old car was on the verge of being flintstone-powered...it was an '85 ford crown victoria, and for anyone who's seen the mtv show "pimp my ride", this car would've been perfect. |
| SueBee | posted 30-May-2004 1:32am My car has a manual transmission, and I prefer it that way. |
| SueBee | (reply to BerrieGrrl) posted 30-May-2004 1:34am I think the only way you could Fred Flintstone a Crown Victoria would be downhill! |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 30-May-2004 5:43am Manual - it's a tandem bicycle.
I've had about 20 cars, 6 of them Citroëns, all European, and they were all manual. My first driver, my mom's Datsun 260Z 2+2 was an auto though. |
| BerrieGrrl | (reply to SueBee) posted 30-May-2004 10:25am very, very true...those cars are tanks! that was the nice thing driving it, too. i knew if i ever got in an accident i had a pretty good chance of being ok (i don't know about the other person though) |
| moviesnob | posted 30-May-2004 2:57pm Automatic, but I really should learn to drive a stick |
| Dino | posted 30-May-2004 5:18pm I don't know how to drive.
I would use my mind to power it anyway - its an untapped source. It would be brilliant. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Dino) posted 30-May-2004 10:17pm Ooh, like the Matrix or Dark Crystal. We could drive down the boulevards abducting pedestrians as fuel, and just ditch them again on the sidewalk when their brains were spent. |
| thevelvetcure | posted 31-May-2004 3:30am Manual for my current truck, and has been 2/3 times...in fact it will continue this way. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 31-May-2004 9:28am The truck I drive the most is automatic. |
| Enheduanna | posted 31-May-2004 11:31am Manual. |
| bill | posted 31-May-2004 12:43pm manual - I prefer manuals.
My wife's car has Step-Tronic transmission, which is sort of in between (you can put it in automatic, and she does 99% of the time), but you can also shift it like a manual sort of (up/down taps cause it to change gears). Also, I think it has a sport-mode that keeps you in low gears longer. |
| jettles | posted 31-May-2004 4:47pm manual |
| jettles | (reply to iamdonte) posted 31-May-2004 4:48pm my car is manual and it has cruise control! |
| dab | posted 31-May-2004 4:58pm This is the first automatic I've had. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I'll try not to do that again. |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to bill) posted 31-May-2004 5:39pm What model is that? |
| MacGregor | posted 31-May-2004 5:53pm Automatic. I drive with two feet, so I wouldn't be able to drive a manual. |
| iamdonte | (reply to jettles) posted 31-May-2004 7:01pm You're kidding??? I didn't know it could do that! Or is the cruise control mean a good control of your foot? |
| bill | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 31-May-2004 8:54pm Her car is a BMW 330xi. ...but, I think the same transmission exists in VW and Audi cars (all 3 German car companies share a lot of technology, I believe). |
| jettles | (reply to iamdonte) posted 31-May-2004 9:05pm nope, honest to goodness cruise control and my car is 7 yrs old!!!! it's been around a long time!!!! |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to bill) posted 31-May-2004 11:02pm hmm, ok. |
| Zang | posted 1-Jun-2004 12:15am I don't have a primary vehicle. |

| Zang | (reply to heyzeus1) posted 2-Jun-2004 4:28am It doesn't have a transmission. |
| heyzeus1 | (reply to Zang) posted 2-Jun-2004 10:00am so, it's a flinstone's car... |
| Zang | (reply to heyzeus1) posted 2-Jun-2004 3:58pm No, it's made by Fisher-Price!

| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Zang) posted 2-Jun-2004 4:33pm Out there, a gold-white orb with ultraviolet bars, orange flame, and lime, lavendar and tangerine sparkles. Down here, an electric/steam powered tangerine tandem bicycle. |

| Biggles | posted 2-Jun-2004 7:26pm What do helicopters have, and what's the best way to take them out? Some idiot helicopter pilot is buzzing where I live. It's half past midnight and people have exams! The university owns most of the city so they can put a stop to virtually all noise during exam season, but I guess they don't own the sky |
| heyzeus1 | (reply to Zang) posted 2-Jun-2004 7:46pm is that you in the driver seat? |
| iamdonte | (reply to jettles) posted 3-Jun-2004 10:12am COOL! |
| Zang | (reply to heyzeus1) posted 3-Jun-2004 10:14am No of course not! That's one of those sexy models they always pose with cars. |
| dora | posted 3-Jun-2004 12:46pm I don't drive. I've never seen a vehicle with automatic transmission though.
|
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Zang) posted 3-Jun-2004 4:22pm Actually the flame was more of a union of top chakras than flaming jet farts or something. |
| Zang | (reply to Kristal_Rose) posted 4-Jun-2004 11:01am Doesn't that make it go faster? |
| Kristal_Rose | (reply to Zang) posted 4-Jun-2004 8:02pm I'll let you tinker with that technology. When I see a plastic flaming jet-mobile which sounds like a tuba, stopping at intergalactic roadside burrito stands, I'll know you were successful. |

| nasale | (reply to ASB) posted 2-Jul-2004 12:58pm ! What a hoot !!! It must be an adventure to drive behind her. I can see your mom's car out frontand about a mile behind a whole line of backed up traffic!! |
| ASB | (reply to nasale) posted 2-Jul-2004 8:04pm I know I am scared to drive with her. Behind her would suit me just fine!!! |
| nasale | (reply to ASB) posted 11-Jul-2004 12:54pm I'm going to wait (two weeks) To see if I can get you a souvenir of Anne of green Gables or P.EI. That's why I haven't sent you anything yet. So, hang in there. I still have it in mind. |
| ASB | (reply to nasale) posted 11-Jul-2004 1:26pm That would be cool |
| queeravgjoe | posted 20-Aug-2004 1:29am Mine is an automatic, but wish it was a manual. Out of the 12 cars I've owned in my life, eight of them have been manual. |
