I answered for how often it needed it not how often I personally unclogged it. In my house if you made it clogged you unclog it. I am sure within a years time the toilet has had to be unclogged over 12 times using a plunger. |

I don't think I've had to. I'm not sure, though--maybe I did it once. Definitely no more than once, though. |

One of our toilets is perpetually plugged. It just doesn't flush very well, and we have to whip out the plunger probably at least once a month, sometimes more. |

Not that often. |

At university the scout/caretaker deals with that and at home it's never been an issue. I did once manage to block up my grandparents' toilet though. Very embarrassing. It was my period so I used lots of toilet roll and then it all got blocked up. The thought of my grandad unblocking it..... |

More than 12. Not so much a major work but just that things wouldn't flush away without a bit of assistance from the toilet brush. Brit toilets have less water in them than other toilets I believe. |

That happened to me once at a motel. More like a cabin actually. But nobody came to unblock it for me, they just gave me a plunger. It was embarrassing enough to have to go ask for the plunger! |

With three gurlies and two toilets we tend to have to unclog a bit..... |

Since we moved to this apartment, never. But we've only lived here since November 29th. Time will tell. |

Haven't had a clogged toilet in a very long time, so I haven't had to deal with it. |

I can't remember the last time I had to unclog my own toilet. I've certainly unclogged plenty of toilets at work. Especially when I was Building Superintendent at an office building. Those gals on the second floor were constantly dropping weird things into the toilets; keys, earrings, coins... |

We bought a long hand crank snake and ran it down the drain pipe along with Draino. I need to use Draino on a regular basis then I wouldnt have to use that friggin snake. |
romkey | | posted 25-Apr-2004 9:34pm |
we have one toilet that clogs pretty much just from being looked at... |
SueBee | | (reply to romkey) posted 25-Apr-2004 10:29pm |
Damn, maybe that's our problem! We'll have to try going to the bathroom with our eyes closed. |
romkey | | (reply to SueBee) posted 25-Apr-2004 10:48pm |
I'm sure it'll be very exciting that way! |

I haven't had to do this in more than a year. It's probably been a couple years sinse I had to plunge it. It'll suck down just about anything. |
| Cain | | posted 26-Apr-2004 11:11am |
It's never happened in my home. |

In the year and a half I've been there, it hasn't been a problem atall. |

I checked 7-12 times. You would think that with this many occasions it would be caused by faulty plumbing. Nope, its from a girlfriend that is convinced that it's impossible to use the bathroom without using half a roll of toilet paper. We call it the "boxing glove". It when someone wraps toliet paper around their hand several hundred times, wipe and then flushes it. Many plumbers have retired early and wealthy because of this phenomena. |

Never in the past year, only 1 time since I moved into this apartment, and that was within the first month I think. |

Which one? The downstairs one? Around five times in last two months because I keep telling my sister not to flush her face-cleaning cloths and cotton swabs down the toilet. |

Someone else in my house took care of it, but it needed to be done only once... and it was, of all people, Mary's turd that did it. |
