I don't smoke, and I'd prefer it if no-one else did either *cough cough*

Filtered. With the unfiltered ones you get little bits of tobacco in your mouth.

I can't smoke non-filtered cigarettes, so I guess I prefer filtered ones.

I've been smoking filtered cigarettes for nearly thirty years. I've tried the unfiltered variety a few times, but I find that they make me cough. Not when I'm smoking them, but if I smoke like a whole pack, I'll start coughing a lot after the first few. My usual brand is "extra light", so the unfiltered variety is of course a lot stronger.

I only smoke socially but when I do I chain smoke. I like to smoke when I drink, when I drive, and when I'm on the phone. Oh, yeah. And after I eat. I guess I do smoke alot.

I used to smoke filtered Marlboro Ultra Lights box.

 * grin * I have been off smoking for almost 2 months now. February 17, 2004 was my last cigarette.

I don't think unfiltered cigarettes will help in that quest. In my case, anyway.

Filterd...out of convenience...and when I have money
Rollies (home rolled non-filtered) when I'm literally at home because it saves me about $20 or so a month, plus it cuts down on my smoking at home (thanks Jewels * wink * )

I can't remember which film it was, possibly "Key Largo", where she seemed to be constantly, sort of absent-mindedly picking bits out of her mouth with her fingers when she was smoking.

It really works too. I used to smoke about 3/4 of a pack on a regular day, and now I'm down to about 1/4 to a half pack (mostly at work). Now, I only smoke one or two when I'm at home, the usual times, after a meal, before going to bed.

Jewels got me started on that brand for that very reason, an all inclusive packaging. If you want to try a smaller amount, they sell a pouch which is worth about a pack, 20 papers, and rarely exceeds $2
ROCKMAN
(reply to thevelvetcure) posted 14-Apr-2004 8:30am
Alrighty then, I'll probably buy the pouch first to see if I like that brand and go from there. I'm about out now so I need to make a run up to the smoke shop. I have to go out and get some lighter fluid too! I just ran out.
