| bombill | posted 26-Mar-2004 3:29am I can't recall any public pukings of my own, but unfortunately I've seen others do plenty of nasty doings. My favorite: drunk frat guy with friends who decides to lay down on a park bench. He lays on his back and his friends gather round. Suddenly, this guy projectile vomits two feet in the air, splattering his buddies and covering himself in retch. I remember going from horror to gut-busting laughter in like 2 seconds. |
| judgescratch | posted 26-Mar-2004 7:38am Yes I have seen somebody throw up in public.
As for me, I think that I've always had the luck of being able to be discreet about it. |
| justjulie | posted 26-Mar-2004 8:19am sure have |
| ROCKMAN | posted 26-Mar-2004 9:29am No I don't think I have, I have however seen many others though. Seeing someone puke is probably the thing that will get me puking more than any other thing. So I won't stay around, I'll leave the room right away. |
| Amanda | posted 26-Mar-2004 9:34am Yes and yes. I'll save you the details. |
| they | posted 26-Mar-2004 9:46am I said no.. the closest thing to this was once as a teenager.. My friend and I were at this house that a bunch of guys lived and drinking heavily real late at night.. I was on the porch with a guy and told him I was going to go for a walk because I needed to go barf. He freaked out that I was going for a walk in this bad neighborhood, but I walked away quickly.. Half way up the street, while walking I just puked.. I've never puked while walking.. it was weird. It was dark and noone was around so I wouldn't really consider this to be in public. |
| Zang | posted 26-Mar-2004 9:55am The time that comes to mind is when we ran out of money in Kathmandu. I had made arrangements with my parents to make a payment on my credit card to free up some money. That morning, we had a room service breakfast in our hotel which included a big glass of orange juice. I noticed the orange juice tasted funny, but thought it was just because it was tinned orange juice which I very rarely drink. my stomach was in knots. I figured it was just because I was nervous about the money. We went to the bank and got some money, no problem, but my stomach was still in knots. I figured that if I just chugged a bottle of cola, that would sort things out. So we're walking through the streets of Kathmandu which are dirt roads in most cases. Only the main roads are cobblestones. There was a street vendor who was selling bottles of cola, so I got one and chugged it. I got about half of it down and them my stomach just erupted its contents onto the street! I felt like a great big buffoon! Nepal is like Munchkinland, it seems like the average height of the locals is about 4'2". I'm totally embarrassed, kicking dirt over my puddle of vomit, trying to cover it up, and all these tiny little Nepalese folks are turning to stare, finding the performance greatly amusing! |
| bill | posted 26-Mar-2004 9:55am There was this ill-fated whale watch I went on with some friends... the boat was packed with people, the waters were rough, the stench of vomit was pungent. Barforama. |

| Enheduanna | posted 26-Mar-2004 10:02am I threw up at the Spruce Goose when I was younger. I've thrown up in front of people a couple of times when I was on Ecstasy. And I've thrown up in outdoor places as well, but not in front of people. |
| ASB | posted 26-Mar-2004 10:13am not that I recall |

| Sahndya | posted 26-Mar-2004 2:04pm I've never thrown up in public, and I've never seen anyone throw up in public. Fortunately! |
| kitti723 | posted 26-Mar-2004 2:06pm in my case the question should be HOW MANY TIMES have you thrown up in public. he he |

| freebird | posted 26-Mar-2004 3:19pm yes, I was plastered and so were the persons who I saw throw up except for my kids, when they were babies. They just got sick of their formula. |
| Porklet | posted 26-Mar-2004 4:45pm Puking never bothered me. I have thrown up in public maybe 6-7 times. Once in a parking lot, once in a McDonalds, twice in a bar, once at a football game, once on the side of the road, and once behind a dumpster (in front of four police officers, although I didn't know it at the time). There are probably more instances. Many times in a public toilet (and one sink). |
| Iseult | posted 26-Mar-2004 4:52pm I have thrown up in public only once so far. I was 12 and I was going back home. I was in the west end at some school, and I was doing additional testing in some school for something (I can't remember anymore). All I know is that I was very sick and my blessed parents foudn me fit to take subway back home. So as I was walking towards subway station (I remember, it was Greenwood), I just could not take it anymore. I puked in the back alley and passing people were looking at me. Sick was all over the pavement.
I have seen people throw up in public on numerous occassion. Last one was two weeks ago when I was at this club with friends and my friend who, as we were walking towards the washroom, accidentally got hit on his nose. Hit was hard and his nose started bleeding. He moved his head backwards, as I was pulling him (I could not see this because many people were there), he swollowed some blood and threw up all over our other friend's back and my hand. |
| mimind | posted 26-Mar-2004 5:39pm oh yes...i puked all over everyone in a 5 foot radius of me at a summer festival where i drank way too much |
| Dino | posted 26-Mar-2004 5:57pm Oh god yes. Recent memories are outside a shop doorway in Regent Street at 3am in the morning infront a full bus queue of people watching.
The other was on the platform of Bethnal Green Tube Station. I consider myself lucky that I made it off the mode of transport I was on at the time. But its such a shameful thing to do. I'm more sensible with my drink now |
| juliw | posted 26-Mar-2004 6:37pm Yes to both |

| kitti723 | (reply to timothy) posted 26-Mar-2004 7:51pm I was in a bar and I ate some tabs (XTC) and I was sitting at this table and thank god there was a trash can right next to my table. I asked my date to go get me some water and he said he was too wasted to go to the bar and my cheeks puffed up like a puffer fish. I was trying real hard not to blow. He looked at me and said "Let it go" and I did. Thank god again for that trash can. |
| kitti723 | (reply to timothy) posted 26-Mar-2004 7:54pm Another time I had gone out in El Paso w. my sister to see some male strippers and got wasted and we had planned to go into Juarez in the a.m. w. her father in law. I had such a miserable hangover and it was so hot. I tried to eat something and I drank a beer. Then I started feeling like someone was punching me in the stomach. On the way back across the border I had to blow so I ended up blowing in a Wal-mart bag. When we crossed the border they asked if I had anything to declare. I almost declared the barf but my sister wouldn't let me. |
| autumnlight | posted 26-Mar-2004 10:00pm Yes, a couple of times when I have been particularly hammered. |
| ihatespiders | posted 27-Mar-2004 1:16am In the 5th grade quior I was in the alto section it was in a Christmas program a girl beside me got stage fright and threw up I grabbed her by the arm and ran out the back stage to the bathroom ( I dont remeber her name) she was so embarassed she wanted to die, I told her nobody saw her because I grabbed her and ran before any one noticed. She felt better and as far as I know nobody did notice. |

| juliw | (reply to mandy) posted 28-Mar-2004 5:16pm I haven't been here in SC as much as I used to be, because I am in a couple MSN groups, and have been doing a lot of PSP-Paint Shop Pro. It is very addicting. My mom was in the hospital for a couple weeks in December, then back in again for a few days in January. She had some kind of viral infection that caused severe diarrhea (sorry)...it got so bad, that between the fever and the dehydration, she was hallucinating, and didn't even recognize me and my sister.
She also developed pneumonia. About a week after Christmas, she got the fever and diarrhea again, so we took her back to the hospital. She is fine, now! Not a whole lot else new, here. Hope you and Mallory have a nice Easter!! Miss ya! If you want to email or IM me sometime, feel free. My email addy is Caseycaseymama@aol.com. That's also my MSN messenger addy. My Yahoo addy is caseygidget. Maybe I can make you something in PSP. |

| Violet | posted 29-Mar-2004 12:30am I did throw up in public once, and it was very embarrassing. I drank A LOT of beer at a get-together with my friends at a bar, and was feeling surprisingly good. It caught up with me, however, while waiting for a bus at the subway station closest to my apartment. My friend happened to have a gift bag with her, so on the bus she took out the present she had received and gave me the bag. Fortunately the bus wasn't very crowded and I just buried my face in the bag and vomited pretty much silently. My friend still remarks to this day that she's never heard anyone puke so quietly! |
