| bombill | posted 26-Mar-2004 2:39am My pants have a small Dickies logo on the right butt cheek, and the tag on my t-shirt says Oneitta. I make a point never to wear logos on my shirts. In fact, I will even cut logos off whenever possible. Some of my friends think I'm a little nuts for it, but I think it's great. Aside from never wanting to pay extra for a label, I only advertise stuff I really like. For instance, the t-shirt I'm wearing is a painting that reads "art is one of the few things left worth doing." I usually stick to darker solids and horizontal stripes (I avoid vertical stripes because I'm tall). I also never wear watches or jewelry of any kind.
I guess it's a statement, but I don't put much thought into it. I'm just much more comfortable when I'm unadorned. I wouldn't even wear clothes if it they weren't so practical. That and people freaking out about a naked guy walking around. |

| ElvisFan67 | (reply to ASB) posted 27-Mar-2004 8:32pm DIRECTV? I'm a subscriber, you know--and I may very well have been talking to you when I first signed up, for all we know. It's a small world out there, and that could have been possible. |

| ASB | (reply to ElvisFan67) posted 27-Mar-2004 8:49pm I can't remember exactly when I worked there. (I am sure they knows) but DIRECTV was just becomming big at the time. They talked to someone famous once but I also can't remember who. |
| SueBee | (reply to mandy) posted 28-Mar-2004 4:59am Oh, yeah! I haven't tried taking a movie yet. It only does 20 seconds worth, but that could be fun. |
| ROCKMAN | (reply to SueBee) posted 28-Mar-2004 7:44am That's neat, I was at Disneyland once (about 25 yrs ago) it probably has a lot more to offer than it did back then.
Good to see you back though! |
| mandy | (reply to SueBee) posted 28-Mar-2004 4:16pm David's only does 30 seconds and we were able to tape all sorts of "interesting" things. But then...you saw that didn't you? |
| ElvisFan67 | (reply to ASB) posted 28-Mar-2004 5:49pm I signed up at the beginning of 2002, and DIRECTV was already big at the time--so I doubt that you were one of the representatives I talked to. (You were a customer service representative with them, weren't you?). They talked to someone famous, you said. Was he/she a celebrity? |
| ElvisFan67 | (reply to Amanda) posted 28-Mar-2004 5:56pm Let's put it this way--if it was being judged on SC's qual, I'm pretty sure it would get plenty of reasonable votes. |
| Amanda | (reply to ElvisFan67) posted 28-Mar-2004 6:16pm Okay, I'll take your word for that. It still tickles me to hear you talk like that. I never knew you had it in you. |

| SueBee | (reply to LindaH) posted 28-Mar-2004 8:11pm Yep, I saw the Muppet 3-D movie, and A Bug's Life. They were fun, but not as good as Michael Jackson's Captain Eo which I saw there years ago. Soarin' Over California was great! I did that a couple times, and managed to get right in the front row the 2nd time so there were no feet visible above my head. That was cool. Have you been on those? |
| LindaH | (reply to SueBee) posted 28-Mar-2004 9:00pm Yes. I saw Muppets 3D and Bugs life. I liked Soarin Over California. I can't forget that golf ball! And I wanted to spit on those rafters. |

| SueBee | (reply to LindaH) posted 30-Mar-2004 12:43am My favorite ride was Grizzly River Run which is supposed to be kinda like white water rafting. We got pretty wet both times we went on it, but dried off fast since it was about 85º, so it was really fun. I also really enjoyed the Aladdin show they had in the new Hyperion Theater that seats a couple thousand people. It was like a Broadway show with fabulous costumes and props, and the guy who played the genie was hilarious. He gave Robin Williams a run for his money. |
