What part of the newspaper do you read first?

In our local paper, the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, they mix national and world news in the first section. Since I read the entire paper (skipping articles as I so choose) with the exception of sports it makes sense to start with page one and go through the whole thing in order. I do save the comics for last though.

this of course assumes that I have even picked up the paper... I generally don't bother.. the draw of the comics gets me sometimes though.

I don't generally read the newspaper. When I do, I tend to start at the beginning and read through to the end, skipping stuff I find boring.

What about just "The front page"? :)

I answered "World news", which is true 6 days of the week. Every day but Sunday I read the front section first, then the Metro column if there is one (this is in the Boston Globe), then Health/Science (Mondays) or Food (Wednesdays) or Calendar (Thursdays), then Living/Arts, then the comics. But on Sundays, for reasons I don't quite understand, the order is more or less reversed, with the comics first, then other fun things, then hard news. As if you really wanted to know all that.

I don't read the paper anymore but it used to be the comics

what about : page 2, then page 3, then page 4 etc...

I only get the Sunday paper, and I read the comics first, followed by all the advertisements, then I scan through the World news and Local news. then I check out the real estate section (leftover habit from when my fiance and I were house hunting for 4 months...)

Sports on weekdays, color comics on Sundays.

Travel, then international news.

The comics are rarely first, but they're usually second. First depends on whether the headlines catch my eye or if one of my favorite daily sections is running (Three of which in the Boston Glob are "Food", "Health/Science", and "Home" - all sections you didn't list, btw).

Music is my life, so naturally I look to see who's going to be around

Horoscopes and Classifieds

Hafta know the weather. Gotta have the forecast.

I go for local news first, then lifestyles.

I go straight for the business section. I invest.

The parts facing me on the train ride into work.

That's my obsessive everyday order for reading the paper

Pandora..I'm the same way, and my order is pretty much the same as yours, except sometimes I forget to read the comics, and sports is what I always finish off with.

Whichever section my roomates finish first.

Front to back...skip the sports....

"I like to read the obituaries and cross off the names in the phone book"

Comics and horoscope. Start the morning with predictions and laughs, I always say.
