| cerealkiller | posted 9-Mar-2004 6:00pm Kinda too late for that. I never wanted to be like my father - basically a wimpy mush. But sorry to say I am more like him than I'd like to be.
"Kind" of person? It would never happen - but self-confident, assertive, able to achieve whateve I wanted, able to manipulate others, be likeable, someone everyone would look up to. Reality is that I'm exactly the opposite. |

| Irene007 | (reply to dora) posted 13-Mar-2004 5:51pm Hey Dora! I'm looking for authentic Italian recipes on the net and I came across this;
"Prepare artichokes. Remove the outer leaves but let a little piece of the stalk. Beat everyone on the trencher; season with salt and pepper. " What's this about beating up everyone? http://www.italianrecipes.ws/lazio/ricette/lazio_0... Anyway, I want to find some real good Italian recipes for a murder & mystery dinner I'm having next month. I used to have a great cook book from the '50s with the recipes from the famous Mamma Leone's restaurant in New York but it was borrowed and never seen again... Would you or your Mom have any suggestions? I'm looking for recipes I can prepare ahead of time because we'll be busy with many other arrangements. |
| dora | (reply to Irene007) posted 13-Mar-2004 6:27pm My mom probably, she is sleeping now, tomorrow we'll find something for you to cook |
| Irene007 | (reply to dora) posted 13-Mar-2004 7:43pm Do you have a clue about what "beating everyone on the trencher" means?? |
| dora | (reply to Irene007) posted 13-Mar-2004 8:30pm No.

| Irene007 | (reply to dora) posted 13-Mar-2004 8:41pm Weird huh? Maybe it's a mafia thing... |
| dora | (reply to Irene007) posted 13-Mar-2004 8:51pm I don't know, I'm not a mafia expert! |
| Irene007 | (reply to dora) posted 13-Mar-2004 8:58pm Me neither but I've never had to beat anyone while cooking! A few eggs maybe... |
| saintange | (reply to Irene007) posted 15-Mar-2004 2:30am Mafia's typical recipe: Pasta con le polpette.(I'll go with french, it's easier for me)
| sonikJ | posted 15-Mar-2004 2:44am I want to be a kind, generous person with plenty of knowledge and common sense. |
| Irene007 | (reply to saintange) posted 15-Mar-2004 5:49pm Mmmm....
Jeez - my mouth is watering!! |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 15-Mar-2004 7:24pm Me |
| saintange | (reply to Irene007) posted 16-Mar-2004 11:28am Je repond un peu tard.
Bonne chance! |
| Irene007 | (reply to saintange) posted 16-Mar-2004 7:35pm Rouge? Mais pourquoi quand elles sont jaunes? "Giallo" non "rosso"! I went to the market today and saw some ground veal... If only I had more time during the week; I would have made that for supper! |
