Kinda too late for that. I never wanted to be like my father - basically a wimpy mush. But sorry to say I am more like him than I'd like to be.
"Kind" of person? It would never happen - but self-confident, assertive, able to achieve whateve I wanted, able to manipulate others, be likeable, someone everyone would look up to. Reality is that I'm exactly the opposite.

When I grow up I want to be a nice person who loves children and likes to cook? Yeah right--well I love my children but hate to cook. I want to be a good human being.

Hey Dora! I'm looking for authentic Italian recipes on the net and I came across this;
"Prepare artichokes. Remove the outer leaves but let a little piece of the stalk. Beat everyone on the trencher; season with salt and pepper. "

What's this about beating up everyone? * wry smile * I'm not kidding, go see for yourself!
http://www.italianrecipes.ws/lazio/ricette/lazio_0...

Anyway, I want to find some real good Italian recipes for a murder & mystery dinner I'm having next month. I used to have a great cook book from the '50s with the recipes from the famous Mamma Leone's restaurant in New York but it was borrowed and never seen again... * frown *

Would you or your Mom have any suggestions? I'm looking for recipes I can prepare ahead of time because we'll be busy with many other arrangements.

Mafia's typical recipe: Pasta con le polpette.(I'll go with french, it's easier for me)

Jeez - my mouth is watering!! * grin *

Bonne chance!

Rouge? Mais pourquoi quand elles sont jaunes? "Giallo" non "rosso"! * wink *
