Better than average in an automatic. Still learning on stick, though, so not so good there. But I'm definitely starting to get it.

Have never driven and have no desire to.

I am a better than average driver, the only thing I think which makes me "better than average" is that I am very cautious, I think more cautious than the average.

I've commented to you, in the past, in another survey about the manual trans. issue. I'm glad to hear that you're catching on!

If better means how safe you drive and how well you follow the rules of the law, then I've probably got everyone on Earth beat.

If you mean being able to do anything with a car, well, I'm no stunt driver, but I know the basics everyone should know.

Either way, I picked the first option.

I think that I drive better than most drivers on the road. I have had people tell me that I am a good driver so i guess I am not to full of myself

When asking the question I did not even think about the following rules aspect of it. Just driving ability as a whole. I do not follow all the rules, I drive to fast. I still rate myself an excellent driver.

I havent gotten any tickets, or been in an accident in a long time.

I don't drive and never have.

I haven't owned a car for 22 years. I haven't driven a car for 12 years. I've never had a driver's license. I think it is probably a safe bet that I am a bad driver.

I have my driver's license, but haven't driven at all in the 20+ years since I got it.

I'd say better than the average around here. But not the best - get absent-minded and space-out occasionally. But I'm pretty good considering I cruise highways at 80+ every day and fight rush-hour traffic.

I'm exceedingly cautious, but I don't know how much that adds to my driving ability.

I don't have my driver's license yet. That's something I'll work on this year.

I'd say I'm about average. I've had quite a few accidents. Not all of them my fault, but some of them.

I see accidents happen before they happen. Most people don't anticipate.
There's too much agression in traffic.

Average. I don't want to say I'm good in a car, because someone told me some time ago that whenever you think you're good on the road, that's when you really screw up!

Just last Wednesday, someone ended up in my lane, going the other way. We swerved to miss each other, he over corrected and was going too fast and ended up in the ditch. I didn't. Going home an hour later, he was being towed. I know this has nothing to do with the question, really. I guess I was quick then. I thought it was interesting.

I think I'm average, then again, the average is fairly low, but I'm mostly cautious, a little bit less at 3:45 when I go to work in the morning, but there's no people on the road then Other than that I go about 5-10 over the speed limit, but use my turn signal. Oh yeah, I'm about 90% road rage free

I suspect the belief some of us have that we are better is part of the problem.

I'm a pretty good driver, but wouldn't call myself one of the best on the road.

I had a lot of skill for controlling a car, especially getting out of slide and partial rolls. I was once teaching someone who nearly flipped the car, and within the blink of an eye I was driving with her in my lap getting the car back on all four wheels. What I'm not so great at is dealing with agressive drivers and maintaining constant attention. I've had to drive faster, closer to the center island, to make the drive challenging enough to maintain my attention.

I was an average driver, but I felt I had a tendency to be a bit over-cautious at times.

Much better than average, I would say.

I've got no patience when it comes to driving. Thats why I won't do it.

A very good driver - in fact just this week; I was driving in the middle lane on a highway and in the right lane (Wisky, Biggles and Dino think the opposite!) an emergency vehicle was blocking the lane. I was just on the verge of passing a big truck in the right lane when I realized that he would have to brake. So I slowed down and flashed him so he could pull in front of me to avoid the stopped vehicles. He waved his appreciation but I only did it because I knew that it was much easier for me to slow my car than for him to stop his truck.

I really was too close for comfort....

I didn't drive enough in order to rate my ability. I can start a car. Or at least I think I can.

It's funny how many more people think they're better than average than think they're worse than average, yet, in reality, the figures would be approximately equal.

I am a very good driver unless it is raining. I hate driving in the rain because I often can not see the lane markers, which isn't my fault but it makes me more nervous and less safe. I have never caused a traffic accident. that makes me good, right? I do talk on my cell phone while driving but it doesn't require that much attention to where I wouldn't be paying any less attention to the road. I use the voice dial feature so I don't have to actually push any buttons.

I drive really slow in the really fast lane. People behind me are going insane.

I am an excellent driver, on and off the racetrack. The only accidents I have been involved in were either another driver's fault or mechanical mishap.

I think I'm a safe, efficient, focused yet still courteous driver (no racetrack stuff for me). I think it all stems from learning to drive at the age of 12 and being terrified of getting caught (which I eventually did - but by my Dad and that was worse than anybody else) ... so 20 years later I'm still applying those rules to the road and seem to have more compassion for others, i.e. the elderly and anybody driving a minivan with a few kids in it ... I've driven in about every weather condition and natural disaster, including a daily commute on the 405 (in LA) :) ... I've driven cross- country three times (and once hauled it in a big ole moving truck while towing an attached car) and looking at a fourth before the year is over ... never had an accident, never gotten a ticket (other than parking) and now i'm going to go knock on wood so that I never do ....

I started driving when I was in 6th grade, I got my Driver's License when I was 15,,(I'm 42 now),
I've never had an accident, and very few speeding tickets...( I average a speeding ticket, 1 about every 4 or 5 yrs)....So my record is clean.

ive been delivering pizzas now for 3yrs. i AM the best driver on the road, people go to the right lane if you want to go the speed limit or slower. There are hot pizzas getting cold behind you and i have to pass you.....
