| cerealkiller | posted 19-Feb-2004 7:46pm Two queens - one for me, one for wife |
| ASB | posted 19-Feb-2004 8:53pm right now a queen but when we get a new one I want to get a king or a california king |
| Enheduanna | posted 19-Feb-2004 9:40pm Queen. |
| Amanda | posted 19-Feb-2004 10:31pm I have two beds. One is a double and one is a queen size water bed. I usually sleep in the double bed. I like a bigger bed, but my double bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The waterbed is currently in the guest bedroom. When I move (in the next few weeks) I'll probably leave it here at my dad's house.

| paulyw | posted 19-Feb-2004 11:16pm I have a queen sized waterbed |
| Irene007 | posted 19-Feb-2004 11:25pm Double - any bigger and we'd loose ourselves (we like to cuddle!) |
| anoddoblivion | posted 19-Feb-2004 11:55pm Single/Twin. But they're bunk beds. Saves room in a small apartment room. |
| mandy | posted 20-Feb-2004 1:47am King |
| Wicksy | posted 20-Feb-2004 4:11am Double |
| Maarten | posted 20-Feb-2004 6:27am What are the sizes of the mentioned beds? We don't use those names here.
Bad survey. |
| autumnlight | posted 20-Feb-2004 7:31am A single |
| ASB | (reply to Maarten) posted 20-Feb-2004 7:48am What names do you use? |
| ROCKMAN | posted 20-Feb-2004 8:09am I have a king size bed in my room, and a double in the room my son stays in when he decides to show up. |
| Lahdee | posted 20-Feb-2004 8:29am It's a full size-Im assuming that's "double", but we buy queen sheets because the mattress is thick and it has the added padding on both sides. |
| ASB | (reply to Lahdee) posted 20-Feb-2004 8:34am full is the same as double. |
| CarolL | posted 20-Feb-2004 8:40am Double. My kids have a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on the top. They like to sleep together on the bottom with the fan blowing on them year round. |
| CarolL | (reply to Maarten) posted 20-Feb-2004 8:42am How do you know what size sheets to buy? |
| Lahdee | (reply to ASB) posted 20-Feb-2004 9:17am Ok, thats what I thought, I'd just never heard it called double, just full. Or maybe I have heard it called double and just didn't remember. |
| Lahdee | (reply to ASB) posted 20-Feb-2004 9:20am My mil and fil have a California king, and she has a lot of huge, fluffy pillows and a thick cozy comforter. It's so cute when the littler Grandkids go in there, lay in Grandmas bed to watch tv in her room. They look so much smaller in her great big bed around all the fluff. |
| Maarten | (reply to ASB) posted 20-Feb-2004 9:34am We uses sizes. So you buy a 90x200cm bed, or a 90x220cm.
We have a 160x200cm bed. |
| Maarten | (reply to CarolL) posted 20-Feb-2004 9:35am It's randomly picked. |
| bill | posted 20-Feb-2004 9:50am My wife and I share a queen, but we have separate blankets. |
| ASB | (reply to Maarten) posted 20-Feb-2004 9:50am well a single/twin is a small bed for one person a double/full is the next size bigger can fit 2 people then queen is the next size bigger then king is the next size bigger and california king is the largest available. |
| Galomorro | posted 20-Feb-2004 10:29am Other. I don't have a mattress right now. I use quilts and pillows for a mattress. My single bunk-bed mattress wore out; it had holes in it, so I got rid of it, but then could not afford to buy a futon. When I can afford it, will buy a single futon with wood platform. |
| freebird | posted 20-Feb-2004 10:34am Have a double right now. gonna get a queen. Love the California King's but no room. If I threw my kid and her son out of the larger room and put them in mine then it would fit. |
| MacGregor | posted 20-Feb-2004 10:43am Queen |
| MacGregor | (reply to Maarten) posted 20-Feb-2004 10:45am Sorry, Maarten....If it was mentioned in qual, I would have added dimensions. |
| CarolL | (reply to Maarten) posted 20-Feb-2004 10:46am Then you must be able to get some really good deals at yard sales lol. |
| MacGregor | (reply to bill) posted 20-Feb-2004 10:48am Really? How did that happen - was one of you a blanket thief like my husband? |
| kaleb777 | posted 20-Feb-2004 1:56pm I have a Queen size but it is longer than usual beds. |
| bill | (reply to MacGregor) posted 20-Feb-2004 2:47pm I don't want to name names, but yes, one of us does tend to hog. Actually, both of use have little quirks that make it hard to share blankets. I like to stick my feat out of the end and have some blanket between my knees... We're not cuddlers anyway. |
| Dino | posted 20-Feb-2004 7:24pm Double. |
| Kristal_Rose | posted 21-Feb-2004 4:52am Too short, always too short. One of those bifold futon couch/beds with a mattress which feels like it's filled with sawdust. My toes hook under the armrest. |
| jettles | posted 21-Feb-2004 5:29am queen but want to buy a king. |
| romkey | posted 21-Feb-2004 11:10pm our beds at both houses are king sized |
| kirsty | posted 22-Feb-2004 7:17pm We have a double, but we're going to upgrade soon - just not sure which to get Queen or King... |
| sonikJ | posted 24-Feb-2004 10:16am King...but a California King would be marvelous. My husband is 6'6" tall, and even a King is really too short. |
| Biggles | posted 24-Feb-2004 10:51am A little single bed at university and a good sized single at home. |
| Biggles | posted 24-Feb-2004 10:57am A little side note: It's rumoured that most colleges at my uni have little beds to discourage us from "extra-curricular" activities. My bed is actually bigger than the ones at some other colleges, but 2 people is still not an easy fit. |
| mandy | (reply to bill) posted 25-Feb-2004 11:45am So that's what you're calling it these days, huh?
Your "feat"? What an ego! |
| bill | (reply to mandy) posted 25-Feb-2004 4:08pm /me feints |
| nasale | posted 4-Mar-2004 11:11am I only sleep on 'my' half of the double bed. The rest is for stuff. |
| they | posted 20-Mar-2004 3:57am King |
| they | (reply to bill) posted 20-Mar-2004 4:03am We use separate blankets a lot of the time too.. for a different reason. All of the King sized blankets I buy only hang about 2-3 inches off either side of the bed when it's made.. Once we're under the blanket, there's no hangover.. for some reason, the king sized blankets just aren't wide enough!! |
