| Maarten | (reply to ASB) posted 1-Feb-2004 5:47pm No, but this is the one I want.
My wife doesn't like the idea of having a snake and a baby (and a cat) in the same house. Oh well... soon I'll be free again! |
| Iseult | posted 1-Feb-2004 5:51pm I was contemplating, just today, how much I want a cat, as I was watching Funniest Animal videos. And I think I'm allergic to dogs. Their smell is beggining to bother me for some reaosn and it never did before. |
| SueBee | posted 1-Feb-2004 6:34pm I love them both, although I think I have a slight preference for cats. I have one cat right now because I'm not allowed to have a dog where I live. I look forward to being able to get a dog someday. |
| SueBee | (reply to nasale) posted 1-Feb-2004 6:35pm Wow, I haven't seen you around for a long time -- how's it going? |
| nasale | (reply to SueBee) posted 1-Feb-2004 7:00pm I'm gettin' there-one day at a time.I haven't seen you either! Where you been? |
| SueBee | (reply to nasale) posted 1-Feb-2004 7:06pm Well, ya know, life gets kinda busy sometimes. Now that I have a computer of my own that I don't have to share with anyone else in the house, I manage to spend more time on here. |
| nasale | (reply to SueBee) posted 1-Feb-2004 7:20pm Yup, I've been up&down the roller coaster this year. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Some of it was great. My youngest son got married this summer and it was just a BLAST! Next summer, my oldest son is getting married (again) and I'm going to Nova Scotia for the wedding. Yip Yip Yippee! (as they say in cow poke country. |
| SueBee | (reply to nasale) posted 1-Feb-2004 8:19pm I like the way you think, girl! Enjoy!! Have you been to Nova Scotia before? I bet it's beautiful there. |
| ASB | (reply to Maarten) posted 1-Feb-2004 8:35pm We have a 7 1/2 foot boa and we have 3 cats. The snake can't get out of the cage so it isnt a problem. The snake could eat them if she wantd though. What do you mean free again? |

| nasale | (reply to SueBee) posted 1-Feb-2004 10:43pm Yup, I've been. It is just gorgeous! The people are the greatest, too. (with the exception of a few) |
| MssAmericat | posted 2-Feb-2004 2:08am I put both. I have always considered myself a cat gurl but could never say I would never have a doggie for a pet (have had doggies as pets in the past). I love other animals too. As of this moment I have two cats I adopted that were strays. |
| MssAmericat | (reply to Biggles) posted 2-Feb-2004 2:10am Hey Biggles!
My friend's son has a rat named Squishy. She's so cute. I get to hold her while visiting. She looks like one rat, Sniffies, that I had few years back. |
| Dino | posted 2-Feb-2004 4:18am Dogs are my favourite. |

| ROCKMAN | posted 2-Feb-2004 8:04am Dogs! There are a couple cats around the barn but they are not mine. (strays) Some of my borders feed and water them and they eat a lot of mice. I don't have much to do with them really. |
| ASB | (reply to Maarten) posted 2-Feb-2004 8:29am Awwwww I am so sorry to hear that. How old is your daughter?

| Maarten | (reply to ASB) posted 2-Feb-2004 9:38am Laura is almost 9 months now and we're 11 months married.
Ha, and I love your Dutch. Does it also work the other way around? In that case: Ik weet dat het na een zwangerschap moeilijk kan zijn, maar mijn vrouw is zo vreselijk negatief over alles. En dat terwijl ik juist altijd vrolijk en positief ben. Het is moeilijk... |
| ASB | (reply to Maarten) posted 2-Feb-2004 10:04am I hope my dutch did not translate to choppy to understand Heeft zij een Arts betreffende haar plotselinge verandering in houding gezien? Ik weet of was het me in die situatie die ik zou willen om alles proberen beschikbaar voor mijn childsbelang. Ik wens u het beste van geluk mijn vriend. |
| Maarten | (reply to ASB) posted 2-Feb-2004 11:23am No, she refuses to see a doctor. She doesn't have a problem you know, at least, that's what she says. She's very stubborn.
I also want to do what is best for Laura, but I need some happiness as well. |
| autumnlight | posted 2-Feb-2004 1:17pm Cats. Without a doubt. |

| Cain | posted 2-Feb-2004 9:10pm Ooh, tough one.
I have a dog at the moment, would like to get cats but just don't have the space right now. I think dogs are more fun as pets, they give more back. But equally because cats are more independent they are easier to look after. I don't think I can choose between them! |

What you been up to? |
| Irene007 | posted 3-Feb-2004 7:36am Cats
I love dogs but they're like babies and require much more work. I don't like the idea of having a dog in an apartment and working all day. When I retire, I'll certainly get a dog for my cat! |
| Maarten | posted 3-Feb-2004 8:39am Thank you, I appreciate that. |
| saintange | posted 3-Feb-2004 1:04pm Keirdhu and Sommerville, my home pets, Sottino, my stray pet and Philadelphia's gang, my homeless kitties. |
| SueBee | (reply to nasale) posted 4-Feb-2004 12:02am There are bound to be some stinkers anywhere you go. Anyway, it should be a great trip for you. A wedding AND the chance to antagonize your ex all rolled into one. What more could a gal ask for? |
| SueBee | (reply to Maarten) posted 4-Feb-2004 12:10am Maarten, I'm sorry to hear things are not going well for you. You're certainly right -- you do deserve happiness, and I hope you find it again very soon. ((HUG))
Gee, if only you were a lesbian and didn't live so far away, maybe you and I could get together. |
| MssAmericat | (reply to Biggles) posted 4-Feb-2004 2:21am Oh I am sorry you lost your babies!! (((Biggles))) When my two mice died I was sad and one of my sisters thought I was crazy to feel that way over mice. These mice were not as friendly as my rats but they were cute tiny living creatures. I missed seeing their tiny faces staring at me with wiggling whiskers! |
| Maarten | (reply to SueBee) posted 4-Feb-2004 4:09am |
| Biggles | (reply to MssAmericat) posted 4-Feb-2004 6:46am We caught a couple of mice in those humane mouse-taps once, and rather than letting them go stright away, we put them in a cage for a couple of days to watch them. They didn't seem to mind at all, and they were very cute! I was sad that we had to let them go after that |
| nasale | (reply to SueBee) posted 4-Feb-2004 9:26am Yeah, aren't I lucky? He will be running around like a wild turkey with his head cut off. I know some of his worst secrets and the thought that I'd tell people where he is would make him dump a load. |
| MacGregor | posted 4-Feb-2004 10:16am Cats. Less needy. |
| sonikJ | posted 4-Feb-2004 9:14pm I'm pretty much a dog person. Cats have always been too snobby for me, and I'm allergic to them, so it would have to be an outside cat. I've always had a dog--pretty much all my life. |
| SueBee | (reply to nasale) posted 4-Feb-2004 11:26pm |
| MssAmericat | (reply to Biggles) posted 5-Feb-2004 12:06pm I bet the lil mice were grateful tho!
Since I had my rats now when ever I see any movie depicting rats as horrible creatures I go "Aww look theirs my lil Timmy and Sniffies!!" |
| Biggles | (reply to MssAmericat) posted 5-Feb-2004 12:10pm They're only mean if they're cornered, and even then they'd probably just want to get away. They get more bad press for the diseases they carry, which isn't really fair because we carry plenty of diseases ourselves! |
