| they | posted 29-Jan-2004 3:18am My forks are made of stainless steel and they're still silverware. |
| ASB | (reply to they) posted 29-Jan-2004 3:33am good point |
| they | (reply to ASB) posted 29-Jan-2004 3:55am are you still awake? |
| Dino | posted 29-Jan-2004 4:21am I have no idea. I would be tempted to call it Silverware. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 29-Jan-2004 6:46am Yes I think it is still called silverware, but I think there's another name used besides silverware that might fit it better. I can't think of it right now though. |
| judgescratch | posted 29-Jan-2004 6:56am Why yes, I think it would! |
| lara | (reply to ROCKMAN) posted 29-Jan-2004 8:26am flatware! |
| ROCKMAN | (reply to lara) posted 29-Jan-2004 8:56am THAT'S IT |
| bill | posted 29-Jan-2004 9:17am silverware=flatware (which can be gold). Unfortunate that we call flatware silverware, I suppose, but who really cares anyway? |
| Enheduanna | posted 29-Jan-2004 9:40am Not technically, although I'm sure it would still be called that by many. The more appropriate term is "flatware." |
| Zang | posted 29-Jan-2004 10:41am No, but it would still be considered cutlery, tableware or flatware. |
| pandora | posted 29-Jan-2004 12:59pm Most of what we call silverware these days is technically called flatware or tableware as far as I know. So I suspect that utensils are only truly called silverware when they actually are made, at least partly, from silver. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 29-Jan-2004 10:48pm Got me. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 30-Jan-2004 2:00pm Yes, because silverware is just a generic name given to flatware (knives, forks, spoons) that you eat with. Mine is stainless steel, but I still call it silverware. |
| sonikJ | posted 1-Feb-2004 5:08am No, I'd just call it flatware. |
| nasale | posted 3-Feb-2004 1:48am It would be too soft and I'd have crap fit if it got dirty, so I guess the answer is no |
| ndjadesmommy | posted 3-Feb-2004 6:30am flatware is flatware no matter what color it is, so really it cant be silverware cause its not silver unless its gold coloring with silver underneath |
| freebird | posted 11-Feb-2004 6:34pm Oh geez---indecision once again. |
| Irene007 | posted 21-Feb-2004 4:09pm No it would be flatware. |
