| sonikJ | posted 28-Dec-2003 8:41pm I use iMesh now, but I have used all of the above. I'm sure there are some I am unaware of, so if you use one I haven't listed and think it's great, tell me about it so I can try it! |
| Iseult | posted 28-Dec-2003 9:01pm None anymore. I uninstalled Kazaa today because they'er busting Canada, too, nowadays for d/l music. I uninstalled it because of idiots in my house who might as well open it up and start d/l it (eg my sisters). Nonetheless, at first I used Napster, but that was few years ago. For last two years, I used Kazaa. |
| ElvisFan67 | posted 28-Dec-2003 9:24pm I haven't tried downloading music. |
| sonikJ | posted 28-Dec-2003 9:47pm Wow! I didn't realize there were so many non-downloaders! |
| Enheduanna | posted 28-Dec-2003 11:29pm I don't download music. I used Napster and some other thing not listed here once each, but not enough to qualify as real use. |
| southernyankee | posted 28-Dec-2003 11:43pm I dont know the name of it, and I rarly use it anymore. Its something like "shareazza". |

| Maarten | (reply to Iseult) posted 29-Dec-2003 6:20am An American court and the Dutch Supreme Court have declared Kazaa legal. |
| ROCKMAN | posted 29-Dec-2003 7:56am None of these, I don't download music. |
| autumnlight | posted 29-Dec-2003 9:17am I use WinMX |
| Iseult | (reply to Maarten) posted 29-Dec-2003 12:04pm Yeah, but you have to pay for it. And in Canada you don't have to pay (yet), so they're going to go around busting everyone who is not paying. Doesn't really make sense to me, so I've just gotten rid of Kazaa to be safe. |
| DeeDee17 | posted 29-Dec-2003 12:57pm I rarely download music, but when I do I use Kazaa. |
| darkshadowsseeker | posted 30-Dec-2003 1:34pm None as I no longer download music. We're not allowed to use the library or cybercafe computers for this purpose. When I still had a computer (before the monitor died), we used Napster (back when it was free), Blubster and Kazaa. |
| Irene007 | posted 1-Jan-2004 12:22pm Kazaa Lite K++
It's better than just Kazaa but I don't use it that much. I have enough music. |
| Irene007 | (reply to sonikJ) posted 1-Jan-2004 12:30pm I use it mainly to find really obscure stuff that you can't find in stores anymore or ever; like TV music themes and unknown bands that fell into obscurity.
My husband used to sing this stupid song about a black potato. He said it was from a local band in Montreal that had a short moment of fame. One day on Napster, we punched in their name and to our great surprise, the whole album was there including "Black Potato"! After having heard the original song, it was easy to understand their lack of success!! |
