What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?

This question originally came from a French talk show, "Bouillon de Culture" hosted by Bernard Pivot. It is probably more familiar to many as a question James Lipton asks at the end of "Inside the Actor's Studio."

Fine dining, class... When people pray and mean it instead of trying fake out God and themselves.

a true soul connection, where one can feel the other w/ every luminous fiber of their being and that in turn to me anyhow, is equivilent to love

hind sight is always 20/20, When writing this chain of surveys I used the reference of origin to tie them all together so people could compare the answers of users and themselves, maybe to keep it all together. I'm really sorry this upset you so.

Stuff. That's a bit broad...

It didn't upset me that much, it just got a little tedious! Don't take it too personally, though! It made sense to do it how you did, although possibly you could also have done it as one big survey.

You know I have tried that several times in the past and it ALWAYS met opposition.

The problem with it is that it would probably be way too long.

This is hard being that I'm not that creative, not that spiritual, and not that emotiomnal either. * smile * Soooo I really don't have things or situations that turn me on to these things, that I can think of anyway.

creatively - the act of painting really does it for me....
spiritually - would be having the realization that something didn't happen to me by accident. Knowing that it was part of a bigger plan for my life. Like getting an unexpected check in the mail right when I needed it or being there for someone right when they needed me or vise versa. Knowing that something happened just like it was supposed to happen because it couldn't have happened any other way. That does it for me spiritually.
Emotionally - having all the love that I need........available to me. Wow. That REALLY does it for me!!

Thanks! It's the truth too.. The best example I could give is right after Mary was born. I never loved Rod more in my life.. he was so good and caring and gentle and perfect towards Mary and me.. At that time, I was 'turned on' in all of these ways and more.

And nothing makes me cry like an act of kindness.

I've heard that a lot about new fathers. I think that's a really special time in a couple's life.

What's really touched me is when my customers take the time to send a Christmas card with a note saying they appreciate things we've helped them with, or they stop by with homemade cookies or something. One time a customer brought us a crock pot full of homemade spaghetti, just to be nice! Things like that really make me feel all warm and gooey inside. * smile *
