I went to libraries a lot when I was a kid; sometimes when I was a student and basically never now.

There seems to be a correlation between SC users and libraries. So, I just wanted to see if that's true.

When I had the privilege of living with a librarian, I really enjoyed being able to request books, have them appear on the kitchen table, read them and leave them back on the table with a note saying "Thanks!" Now that's the way to experience libraries! Without her, I'm too lame to actually get there on my own.

I am such a supporter of public libraries that it puzzles me why more people aren't in them & taking advantage of all the great programs & services & free books & videos. I love working in a public library & I usually enjoy working with the public. I am pleased to see how commonplace the use of the Internet has become. All ages are using our computers & learning how to 'surf.' We are addicted. I have lived where there were no libraries & I have lived where the only library was in the British consulate. I think you have to go without before you realize how important they really are.

I am sorry to say I had to choose never for both.. I haven't been to a library in years.. (but I do have a good collection of books).

In high school I used to work in the library around the corner from me. When I move, one of the first things I try to find is the nearest library. I usually go every few weeks and take out a big stack of books. I'm such a bookworm that I can't afford to buy as many books as I read, and I wouldn't have any place to put them if I did.

I worked in the town library when I was 15 and in the school library throughout high school. I enjoy libraries but I have a severe problem with returning books on time so it is sometimes cheaper for me just to buy the book to start. :)

I used to go to a library very often, when I was a graduate student. I now go very rarely, although I keep meaning to go and get a particular paper that I want to read.

I go to the library after school every day to do my homework. Its nice and quiet. Working there is so much easier than at home. I can concentrate, because there is nothing to distract me.

I used to spend a great deal of time in libraries as a kid and in college, but it has tapered off to almost none since then. I regret this somewhat, but it seems like I have more other things to do with my time now. One factor is that I spend a lot more time indoors during work than I spent daytime indoors in school, so I am less inclined to do indoor activities for recreation.

All through High School, I worked as a page at our local Junior Library. I absolutely loved that job, and it really kept me sane throughout High School.

My local Council is trying to close 5 local libraries and my connection at the moment revolves around campaigning to keep them open

Guthrie: I feel sorry for your community. I'm wondering: Is your council as illiterate as mine? Keep up the good work & I hope you prevail.

I don't go as much as I'd like too.... Libraries relax me... the smell, the hush, the books... I just moved so I haven't found the library yet...

Every time I go to the library, I never come out again... so I don't do it very often.

i worked in the chemistry library at my undergraduate institution and have a particular fondness for academic libraries. prodigious, dense prose and intense theoretical argumentation really blow my skirt up.

I used to go to the library often until I got this computer. Now I can find all the info I need right here at home. Much easier!

Extremely rare. Haven't been in about 2 years. Who needs to? I can look up anything on the net 24/7.

I go there sometimes, when I'm bored, but I can't check out books, because I still have some that I checked out a year and a half ago. I don't know what's wrong with me.
